Was discussing some really weird stuff going on, but not too sure how to report it for a ticket:
1: Getting an NPC down to roughly 30% and having one photon torp wipe your shields like you had none, and bring you down to 30-35%?
2) NPC torps randomly hitting other NPC ships? Noticed this in the Rommie missions with HY Plasma Torp.
Not sure what's up but a dev may want to check it out. Seems to happen randomly as well so no way to really recreate it; i've tried many times but have been unsuccessful. Just really weird random events.
As to your #2 HY Plasma and Tricobalt Torpedoes have friendly fire damage. Any who is too close to a HYT Plasma or Tricobalt explosion will take damage. That means Romulans can wind up frying their friends or even themselves.

I'm not actually talking about collateral damage or even friendly fire. I mean literally the torp heads toward the rommie ship instead of mine. Sometimes it starts toward me, then heads toward the NPC ship. Other times it just heads towards them right off. I may as well not even be there.
I read a similar thread in Bugs but they talked about a mine field they laid down. This is without me doing anything at all. No mines, no torp spread, nothing to cause this at all. I thought maybe a BO power, or one of my own, was causing it but it happens without me doing anything at all. It's like Scramble Sensors...without me scrambling their sensors.
You know I have just seen the plasma torp issue the other night and thought I was mistaken. I wonder if it has to do with the same AI issues that are causing our Boffs to be heartless and not rez each other.

I can confirm this. I've seen Romulan HY plasma torps do the same thing. They start moving towards me, then veer off and target another Romulan ship. No scramble sensors or anything. Very odd.

Maybe. I was having a heck of a time the other day just trying to get my BOs to rez me! LOL Finally had to set one to a point close to me.
Roms have been giving me that problem. No HYT on my part amybe theirs so i will have to pay attention. I am at the Cardi missions now and they are getting a lot of 1-2 shot kills off on me and the BOF's.

Logically, it would make sense that with friendly fire enabled, the enemy AI (including torpedoes) are now calculating threat based on their allies attacks as well. A poorly timed disruptor shot, when you haven't been firing for instance, could cause the HYT to erroniously change it's target to something generating more threat than you.
I've actually seen enemy ships open fire on each other as well, again, no scramble sensors or other threat management abilities involved...

I have noticed this aswell, mostly from Galor and Mogai Escorts. I know those ships are supposed to be tough little SOB's but I think that thedamage they inflict upon players is a little steep since my THY3 is barely taking the same amoutn of damage from them that their one shot inflicts...

AH!!! I think you could be right actually! Never really occurred to me. Maybe threat generators are off their poor little rockers from AI changes.
Not that i'm complaining really...better them than me after all!

Yeah i got the same thing with Galor and Keldon as well when i've fought them.

noticed is quite prolifically in one of the Borg Red Alerts. My tricobalt would ignore my target and go after random borg probes or even plasma torpedos if they were closer.
The only odd thing I noticed was doing a Borg Red Alert and while fighting the Vger ship it suddenly went from around 2% health to around 60% health... the regen probes are not supposed to heal it THAT fast.
I too have been having the same issue been not much of a trouble for me in space the mogai and galor just live longer than the rest but they endu up getting pasted and i was wondering about that plasma torp wizzing past my ships hull and pasting the romie ship. I would also like to add i have seen enemy ground NPCs turn on each other and kill themselves (occured on task force hippocrates for me) saved me some trouble of opening up on them.
