... what about Raiders and Escorts?

I mean really....
the Feds get the 3rd console and have each class cobvered now. Fine.
We get our second.... for the exact same class the first one was. Klingon cruisers/carriers will even be able to carry 2 C-Store consoles, escorts and Raiders none.
Wouldnt it make more sense to bring out an Escort/Raider console first? Am I alone on this?

They may be doing it to entice more KDF to play cruisers, though I too look toward to seeing the racists and raptors as well.

That would be the auto-correctors fault
Smart phones just not that smart

    Pretends-to-be-smart phones and auto-correction.
    Two things I hate.

Years ago I had an unusual encounter with auto-correction I'll never forget.
I wrote "KFZ-Mechaniker", which means "automobile-mechanic"...the auto-correction changed that to "KZ-Mechaniker", which means "conentration camp mechanic"... a word that does not even exist.
Change one letter in an acronym and you're in trouble.

Come to think of it, "racists and raptors" could be shortened to R&R.

It's simply an artifact of what ships and consoles happened to get done first.

On the most recent STOked podcast, they go over some of the new Klingon ships and their abilities. I have to admit, the Gorn and the Nausican ships are looking SWEET!

    P.S.
Forget them, go JUPITER CLASS DREADNOUGHT!!!!!!!

I dunno, this is why Im kinda on the fence about consoles.......sigh........I don't feel that a *special* console from ship purchase should be taking up regular ship console slots for what the spaces were originally designed for.

It seems to be not as great as advertised and just further takes up the limited space availabel for consoles depending on ship class.

BTW.....when are they gonna redo the load outs of exsisting KDF and Fed ships that were here from the get go? The Neghvar really needs some attention IMO...better BO layout or somethin.

    My pleasure.

I actually considered making a montage out of Hindenburg and Prometheus parts.:p

Let's disagree about this thing bit at least let's do it with humor.:)

It's almost like they heard you...
Just released on the Trbble F2P test server:

•Any ship that has a special power will have that power adjusted to a console, and that ship will be given an extra console slot to accommodate it.
◦Many ships have been updated, but more are being converted.
◦These consoles have restrictions on which, if any, ships they can go on.

The VorKang has now regained the console slot it lost over the Vorcha varient.
Havn't really looked at all the others, especially the Fed side.

The consoles seem nice and hoepfully will add some flavor after they are balanced (cough AMS cough) but none of them tickle my pickle so far. I am curiuos what Bird of Prey and Raptor ideas they have in the works though.

Since it is unlikely that the Excelsior will get a 5th engineering slot, I hope this means it gets a 4th tac slot, and not a 3rd science slot.

I honestly doubt the T5 Excelsior will get another console slot.
She's already got 9 which is the standard number for T5 ships.
But since the lower-level Excelsior becomes one of the T3.5 ships she'll get another slot anyway...

But the Excelsior is now a "+1" C-Store ship...do those get 10 console slots?

Last I heard the +1 C-Store was the T3 version, not the T5, which will remain a regular C-Store ship without any +1.

My only problem with the released consoles so far has been that most of the more interesting, or over powered consoles have been on the Fed side thus far. But that has just been my opinion I'm sure.

Actually I have to agree with that... the current KDF consoles... and the ones shown on Stoked, are "nice to have", the Fed consoles.... well just look at the anti matter spread... the "always runaway console" from the upcoming sabre... the torpedo console from the upcoming Constitution... The only one not seeming entirely rediculous fed-console is the sci console from the road island.

And the worst thing seems to be the fact that the KDF consoles have a prety wide use... the Fed consoles are SPECIFICLY to fight Klingons in PVP.... I dont see much need for a cloak discovering Torpedo or that sabre console ANYWHERE in PVE.

But I'm getting off topic I guess...

I wouldn't call it off topic at all. I too find it funny that a large number of Fedconsoles seem designed strictly to counter the KDF in PvP and are fairly lackluster in effect for PvE.
Seems someone is still believing the KDF is OP hype when they design these things.:(

Granted the KDF has been a constant and reliable villian for the federation through the ages, but the "OP fear" we have instilled is going a little far if consoles have to be designed just to counter the KDF in PvP.
