I noted the Tier 3 Excelsior Retrofit is now listed for 800 c-points on the Tribble C-Store. The detailed entry is not yet complete. Though the images used is the Enterprise-B skin were previously exclusive to the T5 version as seen on Holodeck.
I was reminded in TTS that this T3 is currently available per character via energy credits. As the earlier in-game method of acquisition for it. Might this ship be receiving the x.5 treatment and become account-wide with a transwarp console usable across cruisers? And might it come with both skins?
If I'm correct, will players continue to be able to acquire it per character via energy credits? Or might that method go the way of the Dodo Bird.
The most reasonable assumption seems to be that this ship, console-ified or not, will be available only through C-Store after the rollout to Live. Has anyone bought the T-Store version yet and can confirm whether it has the all-sectors transwarp drive?
I bought the T3 Excelsior from the C-store. That was the only way I was going to get a T3 ship with the dilithium TRIBBLE up. It's got 3 forward weapons, 3 rear, 26,000 hull rating, 3 eng console upgrade slots, 1 each of the sci and tac console slots. The exterior skin is the Excelsior, not the Enterprise-B. (the C-store pic is wrong, they have the correct one in the ship requisitions area) Basically, it's the same as the one you can buy for dilithium, assuming you have enough dilithium. I'm assuming that the only reason it exists is for people who don't have enough dilithium to get a T3 ship, same as the C-store T3 nebula. Though, T3 tac officers with a dilithium shortage are screwed. (unless they just buy the Excelsior)
I own the C-store T3 excelsior on tribble. and it has the Transwarp capabilities to the same (4) sectors as the Holodeck version, but NOT the T5 version that has all sectors..

Ah. That is useful information; I always thought the T3 had the same set of TW jumps as the T5.
