"By All Means" Romulan Arc Mission Broken

Romulan Arc, the mission tracker (green portion) records the changing objectives etc across the maps. The mission tracker portion in blue resets to the start upon reach the end of each map.

Effectively, you can't proceed in the game without clearing this mission and it seems to be bugged at least for me. Ticket # 18,709/10 iirc

I have been trying to complete it from about Captain 9 to RA UH 3.

I tried in 7 times now across two days, dropped mission etc. No luck.

    Are you sure you completed all objectives?

    On on of the ground maps there is a terminal to disable defenses, but if you miss it you can leave the map anyway. Later the mission appears to be over but will not complete.

    Thanks for your replies.

    There is no Patrol starting with 'M' in the alpha C sector block, mempa is off in pi canis. I did run the patrol mission for the sector IN the sector block - but the systems were not part of it.

    I am also making sure to disable the defence systems before I beam off the map etc, so its not that which is causing the issue.

    I really can't catch a break on WAS causing this. But it seemed like after run number 9 it finally registered.

    I had this very same 'confusing' issue the very first time I played this mission many, many months ago.

    This time, it took me 1.5 tries on the mission to complete it (which is a lot less than before heh).

    I do not know what happens -- maybe I missed a prompt/console? Maybe the mission wanted me to leave the system and re-enter, but I kept going? I'm not sure.

    At first, I was checking off parts of the mission in the journal, but when I reached the 3rd part, it didn't complete, and although I did other parts of the mission, no credit was awarded, and it wouldn't complete.

    After I beamed out, I had the option to 'continue:' , which I did, and watched the mission journal for updates.

    I ran into only 1 more snag later on my second time through this part. At one point, I was offered the option to beam out, by the mission text, when I still had 1 thing left to do on the base. I'm not sure if that's what did it or not. Something is just a little off on this mission.
