Red Alert brutality

Is it me or are the Red Alerts nearly impossible to finish when everyone's running in a Lt. Cruiser? Tonight I ran one where I was in an Exploration Cruiser, but my teammates were all in the starter ships. I don't know if the Red Alerts are harder or something's been changed, but I haven't participated in a single win yet and I've been playing all week.

I've participated in wins on Holodeck, but I'm also a VA in an Assault Cruiser over there. I dunno, it just feels nigh impossible to beat them on Tribble. I'm unaccustomed to taking something like 345k from a single hit (those pesky plasma blasts are downright deadly).

Here's hoping everyone else has fared better! :D

    Tried them at LT9 and got demolished. We weren't even able to wipe out 3 fleets before time expired. Haven't bothered with them since.

    5 bolstered-to-level-45 ships are no match for the RA content. You don't have the weapon slots and Boff/Captain powers required to do anything significant.

    I proposed a ship-weighting solution that would allow bolstering to work, but it will never come to fruition.

    The groups I ran with were able to destroy the 4 Borg Fleets and spawn the name ship. At that point it was futile.

    I would say 5 bolstered ships sticking together will usually be able to spawn the boss, but they are not going to be able to complete the mission. Even if they are not almost out of time, killing the boss will prove impossible -- not enough offensive/defensive skills and not enough DPS.

    I ran this and thought the same thing. We had 3 and couldn't even kill 2 borg groups. This needs to be tuned down in the beginning sections of the game.

    The Red Alerts were tuned for those who had RA-level ships in mind. Even on holodeck, if you get too many Lt's or Lt. Cdr's, you can't win. It's a simple matter of not enough power, weapons, and abilities.
