While it is nice to be auto leveled to 17, you miss 7 Bridge officer earns. You don't recieve them at all. Weither that is a bug or intended I don't know. (Levels of Missed BO's: 9, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, and 22)
Your stuck with the Tier 2 Bird of Prey. While a nice ship, there are 2 other ship possibilities avaliable. The Raptor and the Battle Cruiser. Yet you aren't even given a Ship Req so you can choose your own ship, your stuck with what you given. And it's Equipted with Mark 2 Gear, when you should have Mark 3 or even Mark 4 Gear by now. Same goes for ground.
Lack of Content is still painfully visable. You only have true Klingon Eposides, the rest are the Featured Eposides that your "shoe horned" into waiting to do until your finished with each other series in sucession.
Those are my three personal issues with the New Klingons so far.
Edit: When you continue to do the eposides, the rewards for the first Eposide series so far has been Mark 2.
Edit 2: It requires REFINED Dilithium to buy the "Crappy" White BO's from the BO sellers (This only hurts due to the Bug currently where you can't train BO their powers.)
Edit 3: Trying to refine Dilithium Causes a Packet Crash/game crash. (Happens regardless of side I'm told)
While it is nice to be auto leveled to 17, you miss 6 Uncommon Bridge officer earns. You don't recieve them at all. Weither that is a bug or intended I don't know. (Levels of Missed BO's: 9, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, and 20)

Yes, what is up with this Cryptic? We are Level 17. No ship choice. No currency. No Bridge Officers. Mark 2 Gear when we should have Mark 4. No way I'm playing this now, too dismayed. Logging out and going back to my Fed.
And notice, you pushed me away from playing a Klingon before I even got started. In other words, you pushed me away before I even looked at the content. Who is seriously going to want to play a Klingon starting at Level 17 without any Gear, BO's, or Currency, especially when we cannot even choose a starting ship?
We should start with the equipment, BO's, and resources we would have had, had we played the first 17 levels ourselves. And be able to choose our ship.
Hard to beleive cryptic put even 5 minutes into the KDF faction. i can't retrain my Boffs or anything because I have no money.
Good job.....
You can't reatrain them on fed either since its broken...
Anyway if they want to start klings @ 17 they also have to give them some sort of start capital, give them some basics when they complete the tutorial( dont know if there is one?)
I create my Klingon Tactical captain and finish up the tutorial. I'm at level 19.
I have two (2) bridge officers, with no ability to buy any more initially. I have zero points to retrain my BOffs. I start with a Bird of Prey. I have no shied repair skills. Did I mention I'm flying a Bird of Prey? And I don't get my duty officers until next level.
*heavy sigh*
Some starting merits to retrain my BOffs would be nice, especially considering I can promote both to lieutenants right away. Some more BOffs would be good too, since I've missed all those early recruitment opportunities from the lower levels. Also, a little notice about the duty officer situation would be good.
Oh, and all my starting equipment (both ground and space) is Tier 2, even though I can use Tier 4 at level 19.
KDF should be commander rank by the time they are finished with the tutorial and the missions running around first city. It is stupid to give us a ship and fittings for it and only have it for 2 levels.

I'd agree with this as well. Start at 17. Tutorial takes you to 19. Two more levels is a completely new rank.
Start us at 19 with appropriate BO's, currency, gear, etc. Have the Tutorial make take us to 21. Then the game can give us the dilithium/token to get a Tier 3 ship. If the Tutorial is purely on the ground/Quonos (haven't played it), all of this would solve the choosing our ship issue too.
My biggest disappointment was the lack of level appropriate gear and BOffs. At the level of XP we're getting on Tribble right now, I can live with the 2 levels to CMDR, but getting into space battles with under-leveled equipment and no Engineering BOff was a little ... exciting, and not in a good way.
Humm, ok, you guys ned to pay a little more attention to the game..
Started KDF toon, did my running around Qo'nos, did the lore missions (up infront of the enterence to the council chamber) and headed out to go kill some fed AI in the Khalass expance.. did that, suck around and finished up by killing 25 fed ships.. for a total turn in of 3 missions (fed enchrochment, kill 10 captains etc)
picked up the two daylies for t'Ong and the other exploration nebula. Hit the XP to hit commander went to Quo'nos with a almost 3k of refined dilithium, talked to the chancellor got my promot tag and 8k Dilithium from him, heade to the ship yard and picked up by brand spanking new T-3 Ktinga. WHile I was on the event that triggers extra particle traces was up so I spent an hour in T'Ong sitting on a hot spot and bagging data samples. As soon as the server is back up from emergency maint I'm going to mail the data samples from my fed toon to my KDF toon and hit the crafting foundy in first city and et wepons for my ship.
Yep the dilithium ore bug is a pain, but other then that I honestly don't expect to many problems..As soon as I have my ship equipped I may even go see if I can find some froggy Feds for some PvP. T-3 PvP is a blast.. And ther K'tinga is terror to feds unless they truely have thier "Ship" together!
I spend part of my C-store stipend on getting a double lot of DOFF's and was amused to get a blue quality Bartenter.. He's good too, can make Romulan Ale appear out of mid air and mis any drink known in existance. Picked upa couple hundred Dilithium from quicky DOFF mission on of which was executing a traitorous crewman (I was maused to have the ship Physician do the job, and by golly got a critical success and got for 50 Dilithium out of t!
Yes your experience may vary. But I would have still have gotten myself to Commander and gotten the K'tinga. KDF T-3 ships should carry you quite nicely to general.
KDF being difficult is nothing new.. I'm finding it muchmore entertaining then my Holodeck KDF experience..
GAWD! THERES THINGS TO DO! As for the lack of missions.. um I knew that coming out of the gate, and if you had read the release notes and the Dev blog you would know that also.. So get over yer fundements and make some KDF foundry missions alright. If you do a group of 3 per day thats good for a payout of 1,440 Dilithium, which is the same amount the dayly exploration mission pay out.. Theres also the Path of the Warrior missions which should be combained 2880 dilithium is my guess... maybe even a bit more if you complete the bonus objectives.. I haven't checked em yet so I'm just guessing based apon observed trends. rewards KDF side are exagerated of fed side right now due to the KNOWN lack of content. Enjoy it while it lasts. Before what we see here on Tribble hits holodeck there WILL me more KDF content in the form of story arc missions. Cryptic is in a situation where they really have to produce on this so a little patience is in order if you please
*passes around the blood wine*
So drink up and chill out Captains. Go chew on a pain stick if it helps..
Ps Sorry about the typos, I'm feeling much to lazy after 3 celebratory beers to go fix them. Like, file a bug report on it!
First, this is a Feed Back section. And what I'm giving is feed back, weither Bugs, or other wise, I'm stating what I've witnessed and my opinions on that.. Now then.. to what I really feel I need to respond about..

I've been playing this from the side of the fence that is going to be silver. Looking at it as if I were not paying to play, and was not already a Life time subscriber. And things I can tell you right now that is wrong with that statement, is that Free to players, or Silver Players, will not get access to the Foundry. So they can't MAKE missions.
Also, the average player, after having gone 25 levels as a fed will come over here expecting more of the same great experiences they had over on the Federation side and are going to take one look at what's here and more then likely have one of 2 thoughts.
WTF?? THAT'S IT?? F-That!
Or
Hmm... This could take a while.. <sigh> well, I guess I better get grinding.
Eitiher way, It sucks the fun out of the Idea of wanting to play a Klingon. I know. I've made 4 Klingons to Level cap since the game was released. And to be honest, Leveling a Klingon never got better, but got worse. And I'd rather make my suggestions and feed back in ways to help them improve the KDF side of leveling beyond just "Go grind Explorations and side missions while your not quite in level range to do the next small series of Eposides that you still have access to.." Not to mention, the loss of Level earned BO's that I'm sure must be a bug (I'm hoping) It makes this round of testing remind me why I disliked leveling my Klingons all over again. But, like a good tester that I am, I'm trying to do it. And give as productive feed back as I can, for good or ill.
So while I did read the Release notes, I can be disgrunted that they didn't add anything New in the form of Eposides to the Eposide list. And that is a major problem when you look from Fed to Klingon side. And an even bigger one for the Silver players who can't make new missions, and I'm not even sure if they will be able to PLAY foundry missions either. I'm not 100% sure on what the lack of access to the Foundry will mean for Playing them concerning Silver players.
I am glad that this is just the second Patch.. (now third patch with the Hot fix Patch applied) And I look foward to more changes hopefully coming soon.
Also on a side note, I noticed that the C-store must be an older itteration, since it doesn't have the Latest 4 low tier Ships that were released reciently (3 Fed, 1 KDF)
I'm now convinced that KDF not getting BO's as they level should be a bug. Other wise I wouldn't have gone till level 24 with out one so far.
Comments
Good job.....
If this is true, then why cant I create a Klingon character?
Edit... Never mind, logging in my Fed unlocked it. I can now create a Klingon after re-logging.
Seriously, it's extremely annoying.
If KDF players are going to be forced to start at level 17, we should at least have the following.
A. The option to choose which type of ship we start with (BoP, Raptor, Battle Cruiser etc.)
B. Start with some (uncommon quality -at most-) Mk IV ship/ground gear.
C. Start with a decent amount of Energy Credits, Honor and Dilithium, and maybe one or two additional bridge officers.
