These are both Starfleet missions.

Carnosaur Sanctum
ID: ST-HLWOHHC8L
Primarily a survey mission to help find Gorn colonists from Kasharr a suitable planet for resettlement, as their world has been contaminated from Klingon weapons testing.

Exodus of Dragons
ID: ST-HTEAFQBGL
A legendary Gorn Admiral emerges and forces the issue of an exodus onto Starfleet Command. He will stop at nothing to save his people, and he wants your help.

Either mission can be played as a standalone, and at any rank (level).

In my opinion the crafty, cunning, and intelligent side of the Gorn race has not been explored much (the first Gorn Kirk encountered did not lack in intelligence). These missions are intended to explore that side of the Gorn.

Enjoy!

Oh - Carnosaur has been re-released and updated based on user feedback - minor changes to make the mission more enjoyable.

    Hey guys!

I hope to get some reviews on Exodus, as it has not had any yet. Carno has had only 14 and is holding at 4 stars so far, about what I expected, but in my opinion Exodus is the better mission by far.. I know these things take time and I should be patient (but I will have an entire week away from STO next week). Put a lot of late night hours into these babies. Look forward to your feedback.

    Cheers!

    Yessss....

Fifty-8 reviews in a few days, mostly fives stars.

Okay I must warn you - this is a long epic mission - Exodus that is. The mission description indicates 45 to 90 minutes, apparently I was wrong, and will change that soon.

However most of the reviews indicate that this is not a problem, as the mission plays like an action-packed movie (not my words) :).

I am extremely happy to see this take off and my hard work pay off. I would be pleased to hear detailed feedback other than the in-game reviews.

Okay I am off to the beach for a while.

I played both of these missions and found them to be very enjoyable. Frankly, I really enjoyed the survey portion as it made for a welcome change of pace from the standard run and gun ground scenario.

The story line is excellent with only one plot hole, but it is a big one in my humble opinion. You meet up with one of the legendary greats of Star Trek lore to help you in the 2nd mission. (I won't spoil it by saying who it is, and the author did a wonderful job of bringing this old fav back to life.) However, as the story goes this old hand was abducted and forced into assisting you. It seems Starfleet Command couldn't really care less about the abduction of this individual. With a few dialogue tweaks this could be easily remedied.

Aside from that, these are phenominal missions, I highly recommend them to the community and advise to author to keep up the good work.

    Thanks Tom_riker!

I will not spoil who the old returning character is. I will point out that Admiral Kajack has a big problem with that character's abduction - however since the Gorn admiral's plan was the best one available at the time he kinda had to go with it.

Besides, S...., I mean he didn't really care as it was 'implied' that the character was sufficiently snockered up to be happy; no where is it really stated that he did not come willingly (albeit reluctantly).

    However I thank you again!

Summary: As I wrote in the mission rating summary this was a truly a great mission! I thoroughly enjoyed the mission and found it drew me into the story. Your writing was excellent, the design and execution of the maps was fantastic. The details in the dialog served to drive the story forward and made me want to go further. I am looking forward to playing the sequel as soon as I can.

I only found a few minor issues which are detailed in the write up below. One thing to consider is perhaps add a skip dialog button that then provides a summary of what they need to complete that portion of the mission. I’ve used it in a couple of my missions and it seems to work for those with a short attention span. Of course for those of us who enjoy a good story along with action it is not needed.

Mission Description: Detailed description with regard to the type and length of the mission. Nice brief on the mission pretext. Perhaps move it to the top and then add the other info down. Otherwise good work on the details.

Grant Mission Dialog: Good grant mission dialog. Follow on briefing dialog very detailed. I love the pass phrases and responses. Very old style cold war style but with a STO twist.

Only issue is [Miss"And better than Klingon Bloodwine" I suspect the “[Miss” doesn’t belong.

Mission Task: Great mission task considering the restriction of the Map Text for transition to the first custom map in the Foundry.

Mission Entry Prompt: Realizing that you are limited by the Foundry with the button text for the entry perhaps change the helm dialog to match the order given on the button. For example, “We’ve arrived at Seedea system.” Then the button text would flow better.

    MAPS:
Seedea System: Great design and I loved the station. The ships in the docks look really good.

Smuggler's Station Lounge: I love the detailed dialog and the Gorn hiss in the dialog. The dialog with the bar patrons is very well written and detailed. Map Text field should be different from the Mission Tasks once inside the custom maps. Otherwise great set up and design.

Seedea System #2: Good design however I suggest turning the spawn point to face away from the station a bit more. On warp out it looks like you fly through one side of the station.

Beta Lyrae 231: Very well done. I like the planetary survey information. Perhaps change the “Object” name to “Scanning Range” or something like that.

Beta Lyrae Ground: Great design with the ground battle for science survey purposes was brilliant. Good work.

Beta Pacifica 112: Very well done. Again I like the planetary survey information. As before perhaps change the “Object” name to “Scanning Range” or something like that, otherwise nicely done.

SPOILER ALERT!!! PLAYERS DON’T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN’T PLAYED IT YET!!!
Beta Pacifica Ground: Great work! However I hate spiders! :) It literally sent a shiver up my spine but I still fought through it. Seriously a great design with very detailed story dialog that drove the mission. I loved the puzzle on the gateway.
    END SPOILER ALERT!!!

Delta Canis 86 Ground: Great job on the map design and story dialog. One thing to look at is the distress call uses my rank and first name vice my last name. I don’t think that was intended. Otherwise a great map and mission dialog.

Delta Canis Space: Great wrap up to the story. The dialog was detailed and very interesting. I noted in the conversation with the Admiral. He uses my rank and first name vice last name. Again I don’t think this was intended. This also occurs in the conversation the Gorn Captain. Also I thought I saw a Beta Lyrae 118 button in there. I thought it was supposed to be Beta Lyrae 231.

    End Report

Thanks again for authoring. You did a great job and I look forward to playing the sequel.

Summary: As I mentioned in my mission critique this was a fantastic sequel to the first mission. You did a great job with writing and story development for both missions. The maps you created for this mission and the other are some of the best I’ve seen. With the exception of a few minor details on the maps listed below you did a superb job on the story as a whole.

As I mentioned previously you may want to add skip dialog buttons to the longer dialog sequences with a summary of what is needed for the mission. However for me the dialog helped draw me into the whole story from the first mission through this one. Fantastic work and I look forward to more of your mission work.

Mission Description: Good write up but suggest moving the information that pertains to the mission to the front.

    Grant Mission Dialog: Good detail.

Mission Task: Excellent mission tasking. You worked well with the limitation of the Map Text as the mission leading to the first custom map.

    Mission Entry Prompt: Good dialog.

    MAPS:
Beta Pacifica Space: Nice map with good balance of fighting and dialog.

USS Sisko: This was great story development.

Beta Pacifica Ground: Great map design with good balanced fighting, dialog and excellent story development.

Northampton: Excellent work on the dialog and story development. The intelligence report and explanation to the Admiral was very well done. Political Summary, second paragraph, “klingon” should read “Klingon” Same issue in the explanation to the Admiral. Perhaps you are referring to the Klingon as we sometimes do human?

Kasharr Ground: Wow! That was some of the best map design and story dialog I have ever seen. It was truly impressive. Did you know that Balka is a Nausiccan? I wasn’t sure if that was intended.

Kasharra Orbit: The story dialog, missions and battles were very well done.

Kern Shipyard: This has great story dialog, missions and battles.

Kern Shipyard Final Battle: You did a great job developing the story dialog and the battles flowed very well.

Sarrth Space: Great dialog and I like how you wrapped the story of Section 31 into it sort of bringing it to an end.

Sarrth Ground: Good map design and story wrap up.

    End Report

Just played the first mission and loved it! My only recommendation would be to have the very last map be your captain's ready room rather than a space map. It would just give a more "Trek" feeling to talking to the admiral and then contacting the Gorn. Very nice story and looking forward to part 2 :)

Thank you thank you your eminence.

Part 2 is more action oriented. Some people are getting stuck in a city map though - to exit it, you must look for the big flashing tower! (For most it is obivouse.)

The reviews are good thus far.
