The Klingon Academy (?)

Ok ... I was assuming that the Klingon Academy would roll out with the Klingon Uniforms ... which were held for release (apparently) until at least the Borg invade.

Now we have conformation that the borg will be delayed yet again via Stormshade and the latest patch notes ... http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?p=3725052#post3725052

My question is ... Does this mean the uniforms are also being held again? ... And what about the Klingon Academy?

... or are they on the tail end of this mornings planned patch?

    Yes. The uniforms will be pushed... Read that in a forum post somewhere... think it was a tribble thread.

    So they have been pushed from the 24-26 to the 30th (today) and now they are being pushed back even farther?... That is utter tripe! I see no reason why they ought to hold something back from C-store that is already completed just because the feds aren't getting something....honestly... this is getting to be a bit sick. Always having to have a TRIBBLE-for-tat update for both sides... :mad: Either put them in the game, or just drop it altogether... this is just plain stupid.

    They can't release one without the other, since thaose content bits are tied to the same bits of code update/patch. To change that, they would have to write totally new build of the patch, where at the moment they are just tweaking the existing one to get it ready for holodeck.
    At least that's how I understand the procedure.

    As far as I know the academy would not be coming out today...only the uniforms... Just because they released the uniforms and Starfleet Academy at the same time does not mean that they would be doing the same thing here. After all we have always gotten everything piecemeal here on the KDF side of the fence.

    I meant the uniform and the Borg intercepts. While they are not directly code related i reckon, they are both woven into the same grander code update and can't easily be seperated from that.

    Aint that always the case?...oops we messed something up utterly, so everything attached to it will be pushed back a while...so it'll come out soon (tm)....yup, haven't heard that one before...lolz :eek:

    I've ask before, and I'll ask again: Do you want working content a little later, or do you want bugged content now?

    Maybe so ... but all communication has been on the Borg DSEs, not the KDF academy and uniforms.

    I take it, then, that neither the August 19 Engineering Report (re: KDF Academy being in testing) nor this post (re: KDF Academy Uniforms being in the same update as the Borg DSE) count as "communication."

    It is this.
    Not really sure how Klingon content got tied into the Borg but torpedo upgrades were separate, not that it really matters at this point.
    It's a waiting game for the Borg for something that nothing to do with them.

    Because they're ready, they give KDF players more costume options, and you don't need to be in the KDF Academy zone to where them, and the generate income for Cryptic and PWE.

    I will say that I am thankful to have the extra uniform options and even appreciate the eye patch.

    A note on the eye patch that I will say is that it is set to entice Fed players into buying the pack so they can use the patch on their characters as well.

    Is this a sign that they do not feel there are enough KDF players that would alone make enough money to make it worth the effort?

    If nothing else, it kinda feels that way to me. :(

    exactly. they are not tied together. you can wear the uniform or part of the uniform without needing to be in the zone itself.
