I find myself playing my Federation tactical officer more then my Klingon, You are probably asking why, perhaps its that lack of klingon style on the KDF side.
1.I can not get a mini gun with klingon design on the kdf side, not by emblems not by R&D. That is just wrong all around
2. There is no more Battle music every time you enter quonos space, nor is there any in the first city. This makes me wonder why do i play a klingon.
3. The old animations for Melee were more klingon like then the new ones. I look at my sword master as he fights with a Bat'leth and he looks like a bloody HUMAN! It makes me sick. Klingons fight a certain way and prior to season four they looked more klingon when fighting with a Bat'leth then they do now.

I was not going to post this but i just can not stand it anymore.

I personally dislike playing on my klingon because the hud and space looks really awkward and strange somehow..

I kinda dislike the Red Hud after a big while, furthermore I do not understand why stars are colored depending on in which sector you are, it really makes sector space >UGLY<

Sirius sector space looks good. Stars are white

Eta eridani sector space looks ok, but stars are blue now, and somehow it looks like they are much more noticable now. Big ugly stars moving past you.

Klingon space and all stars go Red. Eeuw.. That + hull really makes it hurt my eyes after a while, and it doesnt even feel like space anymore.

instead of changing stars color to make you aware of being in another space sector block, lets revamp the space a little and put some nice background nebulas to fancy up space.

Well, stars have different colors, but that doesn´t depend on any arbitrary sector designation... :D

Its my point of view, i enjoyed charging at my enemies with my Bat'leth in hand, now i jump at them like a human, it bugs me greatly. I do not understand the lack of klingon design weapons in R&D.

Actually, you can get disruptor miniguns by crafting now for KDF. Crafting gives uncommon Mk II and rare every even Mk thereafter. You can also get a common minigun at every Mk from the 'Negotiate a Deal' Gorn in the alley by the tailor. Miniguns not being available via crafting was an oversight and got patched soon after the First City went live.

When the First City went live I was pretty upset about the lack of craftable miniguns, too, especially when someone in another thread said 'I can craft miniguns on my Fed'. Grrrrr... I actually ran all over the First City and found everyone that sold miniguns (post is here). So yeah, you weren't blind or imagining it.

I enjoy both my KDF and Fed characters, but I do like the KDF a bit more. I think it is the atmosphere that the KDF side has. I like the way Qo'noS looks and the ships are cool. Plus I like fight in melee with a Bat'leth! :)

Exactly, I just love Klingon Architecture with Romulan right behind it. I just find Starfleet too bland and boring it feels like I am in a hospital 95% of the time.:p

I too much prefer my KDF chars (despite the lack of content) and I my favourite ship is my Tor'kaht cruiser. I love all my ships (even my Varanus) but my tactical officer always comes back to the Tor'kaht.

You can also get a blue Polaron mini gun from the mission "Spin the Wheel"

Klingons are still the most fun, and the red HUD is way better than eye soaring blue.

They are both fine in my opinion. Blue fits the Federation and red fits the Klingon Empire. Simple and clean.

I find myself playing Fed side more often these days too.

That's just because the Intrepid's too sexy in PvP.

Funny. I find myself actually moving over from fed to my KDF toon. If it weren't for the lack of story missions I would never go back. My biggest problem is I just don't pvp. So it makes leveling boring

For the love of BLACK space NO! Space should be primarily BLACK with points of light in it. We do not need it looking like atmosphere EVERYWHERE. I swear, when I enter most places I forget I am in space and think I am flying a fighter craft inside atmosphere with all the color and gunk all around. What ever happened to space being vast stretches of... Space... Largely nothing?

The stars should be a mix of colors, mostly dim red and yellow with a rare few big blue ones. (Because this IS the Milkyway) The Astrometrics takes care of the color for us already if you have it turned on so the stars need not change to reflect this.

Indeed space is a mostly empty void occasionally punctuated by a massive cloud of gas or a star system of somesort.
