After finishing a couple of the mission on the KDF side where you help the House of Martok I was thinking to myself, this should be in the game more often! It was fun fighting with a Bat'leth against the other NPC Klingons in the tournament. This is something I would like to see in the game more. Ideas include:
1: Having an NPC tournament where you fight against other KDF NPC's as a daily mission.
2: Have a Tournament against real players where they can win ingame rewards, ingame title and is held X number of times in a year.
the rules for both would be that you can only use a melee weapon like a Bat'leth and can only use melee skills. No items can be used that heal you or regens your shield.
I don't know, might sound stupid but it is something I would get into. I am just getting into the KDF side with my level 12 Nausicaan and am enjoying it a lot.

Ehh, stupid pain meds they make me do dumb things like this.:mad: Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area.
Just expressing some ideas I thoguht about while doing those missions, I thought that is what the forums are for? To talk about Star Trek Online in general and to have different disscusions, thats what I am doing. Just posting an idea, it does not have to be implemented, but it would be cool to me if it did.

I'll nudge this to the Klingon subsection so that other KDF players can bounce your ideas about a bit. It helps us to gauge the interest if a very specific topic (such as the KDF) is being discussed by the folks really immersed in it (such as the KDF).

More tournaments would be great. I am getting more into pvp now with my orion toon, Lynn. So anything really that involved live players is good. But i am not oppposed to a daily with NPCs. I was also thinking that we KDF players really have no dailies on the ground. Please inform me if I am incorrect. But emblem grinding is tough as it is and if your toon is specced for ground, why do I have to go to space to gear up?

The pain meds I take are for my back, some of the muscles are torn and I have problems with a lot of pain. But the pain meds that I am taking really mess with my brain and my reaction time is slower. If I did not take any I probably would have caught that I was posting in the wrong forums, I don't like to make a simple mistake like that.

Glad to see someone else was thinking about it. I don't normally post any ideas on games, mainly to avoid posts like that one guy that made a useless comment.
I did suck for awhile at using the bat'leth but after I was using it more than a ranged weapon I started to get better at it and now I prefer to use it, unless I can't reach an NPC then I will use a ranged weapon.
Tournaments could be held by just the players instead of Cryptic having to make it official. Correct me if I am wrong but can't Klingons fight each other? Like I said I am just getting into the KDF side so I am unsure as to what is available to them. But if they can I could see some tournaments being held by the players and maybe some people can offer an item and/or Energy Credit to the first, second and third place winners.
So why arent any Fed topics moved to Fed discussion?
Because General is a strange human word meaning Fed. I only learned their silly language recently and by the foundations of the First City itself I cannot puzzle out the intricacies of it yet.
Meanwhile, what you can do, is get some friends together in game or ask in zone chat if anyone would like a private PvP challenege using only melee weapons and armor, no abilities and no heals. I've tried it and it's a lot of fun!
Don't forget that melee weapon damage will bypass a players shields so shields don't factor into the match.

That could be interesting. Too bad there's no Gravity Hammers for it.
Seriously, I like the idea of more inter-House "politics", such as it is in the Empire. Could see a mission where you're closing in on a cell of a House in particular, only to find the Federation moving in for a totally different reason. Let the Triple Threat Death Match ensue!

In fact, I would also like to see similar missions on the Fed side as a way of introducing Starfleet to the glory of Klingon culture.
More players might consider playing KDF from a role-play standpoint if they had a better understanding of such things.
Hm, not sure that would be my playstyle, but it certainly would fit a Klingon point of view.

I agree. I would like to see some missions based on Klingon Cultural Traditions. Even though I play a Nausicaan they are still part of the Klingon Empire they should be able to also take part in the Klingon Traditions.
I would have made my main character on the KDF a Klingon but since I rarely see any Nausicaans I thought I should play as them first, plus I like their armor.
