I don't speak enough Klingonese.

I was recently rewatching ST:ENT, and in the first episode (Broken Bow) the first Klingon Humans ever encountered (Klaang) is shot by a farmer in Iowa after a breif exchange.

The Farmer didn't speak Klingonese, and the Klingon didn't speak English.

I was wondering if any of my fellow Treekers/Trekkies and Klingon fans can translate what Klaang says?

    Also, there's an iphone app for Klingon, the full suite is like a $12 app but it's worth it.

    I don't know if the same app is available for android, blackberry, etc. but I'm sure there's a similar one.

    this BTW is an excellent example of why Klingon's treatment in trek annoys the hell outta me.

    every other language is tranlasted into engliush "through the universal translater" but not Klingon. instead Klingon is spoken in the language, WITHOUT subtitles, and the vast majority of those watching don't speak Klingon, it's kinda agrivateing. there's a scene in I think it was DS9 where this is REALLY highlighted

    It had subtitles in Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. But, you are correct, they never translated it after that.

    If they don't give subtitles or dubs, it's because you're not supposed to understand it; the dialogue is just a prop.
    In fact, most of the Klingon dialogue on TNG, DS9, VOY and ENT is pure gibberish, not real Klingon. There are a few examples in TNG and ENT where they actually had a Klingon-speaker translate a line or two, but usually they just do a word-by-word translation that makes no grammatical sense (SoS jIH batlh SoH is a word-by word translation of "Mother I honor you", but because thr grammar is awful it actually means "I'm a mother, you are honor" or "You are mother's viewscreen's honor"), or - more frequently - make up some sounds that they think sound Klingon, such as "Yazh-ah qey-oh, zho-ja du-ro", "Klach D'Kel Bracht" or "mova' 'aqI' ruStaq".

    Many of these mistakes have later been retconned into Marc Okrand's Klingon language. For example, the nonsenae phrases ghIqtal and mova' 'aqI' ruStaq are said to derive from an ancient form of the language used in ritualistic settings.

    Enterprise "Sleeping Dogs" was an example where they invented new stuff instead of using a term already devised by Okrand (pu'DaH cha instead of otlh cha for Photon Torpedo)

    Oh and how do you translate ZOMBIE! into Klingon?

    Zombie... Maybe something like HeghHa'pu'wI' - "one who has un-died" - or yIntaHbogh lom - "living corpse".
    To pluralize it, add the suffix -pu' if they're capable of language, and -mey if they can't.
