The Art of STO is visually stunning

I enjoy just flying my ship randomly through space and admiring the NASA/CERN-quality spacescape.

Likewise, after a mission, I like to wander around and look at the groundscapes.

When I think that the STO Art Department cannot top themselves, they give me a nice surprise of quantum-leap proportions.

Outstanding job, Artists.

Heartfelt thanks.

I agree whole heartedly. The only complaint I ever had, is they need to do more permanent maps! Like social Hubs.

I think, even compared to games like WOW, STO blows them out of the cosmos with a photon torpedo right up the.......well I think you get the idea:p

I can not remember where I read it but in one dev post the space images are from actual pictures from places like NASA.

He is not talking about the ships but the environment of the planets and space.
