Well i rarely enter the PvP ques, too slow, so I only private PvP with my fleet or those arranged with my fleet. And I only venture into Ker'rat every once in a while.

Get in the Ques with your fleet, maybe then the Ques would pop faster:cool:
*shrugs* Not in a fleet currently but I do not bother PvP'ing much in STO. I only do it now and then if I am bored with absolutely nothing else to do and getting blown up in my Klink is not really that fun. (I need to level them for Ramming Speed and Abandon Ship, at least then I can go out in a blazing fire ball of glory!)
i just dont understand this pvp resistance, this is the only game i have ever played were people want to play in the sandbox instead of the jungle jim. Does getting blown up and respawning break your immersion or something? The pve grind is so boring, the npc's are so easy to fight, i dont see how any of you are having any fun. Trying pvp at max level and getting made a fool of in 5 seconds and swearing off pvp forever is a the worst way to go about things. all of you who dont pvp, or hate pvp need to start a new character and pvp from level 1, or 5 or whatever, then you will learn how to be good at it while the build complexity level slowly increases tier to tier. Fighting all those npc's has taught you bad habits and been a disservice to your skill level, it doesnt matter how bad your items or weapons are, you will win every time. id love for everyone to give it an honest chance, and to ask questions if you cant figure out what your doing wrong, there are plenty of people on here happy to help get more people into pvp

Preface: I have a Fed toon that I leveled to VA exclusively via PVP. I also have a LG KDF toon that I leveled with some PVP, and a lot of explore and PiCanis missions.
PVP has definitely required a higher skill to play compared to regular PVE. However, winning or losing is highly dependent on your team. It doesn't matter how good you are if your team doesn't work together. And PUG teams are hit or miss from that standpoint. Sometimes, you find yourself on a good team, and you basically stay together and keep queing up. Other times, you find yourself on a TRIBBLE team, leave the team after the match, que up, and find yourself back on the same team again - sukage.
Sometimes, after a long day, I just want to log on a blow stuff up. PVE is too easy? Well, I don't care. As long they blow up, and I don't, it helps me relieve some stress. On those days, nope - no PVP for me. I imagine for A LOT of people, the "I win" feeling trumps the "It ain't a challenge" feeling most of the time.

i can understand that, but after more then 1000 hours of play time, killing npcs offers no satisfaction for me.

I hear ya. I made the same mistake with my first character. Of course I come from the old school of arena shooters, where getting your TRIBBLE handed to you at first is expected so I didn't get too turned off by starting PvP late with my first char. I stuck with it and learned how to stay alive - some of the time - and played for a while and had fun too.
But I've gotten a little sick of FvF, so I have rolled Klingon chars. I'm doing PvP as many times as possible through each rank with them. I just wish I could find matches like I can in other games or shooters. I can play until I get sick of it on a daily basis in those games.
Perhaps they need to make a mandatory PvP part in a modified tutorial or an early part of the game to get people's feet wet. It's not so "bad" once you jump in.

Ugh you missed the good stuff Snog.....in my day all we did was lvl pvp game was new tons of pvp going on.games poped so fast KDF side that you had to stand by the the vendor just to make sure you were geared up.
lvling was easy then infact we lvled so fast had to wait for feds to lvl and get into the next rank of games.

yup. i guess we just have to wait for people to play that many hours before they figure it out
Call me cynical, but I suspect they're the only members of their fleet.
Same here.

Why? Because we don't want to.
When you pay other people's subs for them, then you can dictate how they play.
I am not against PvP...I just don't find it as exciting as others do...I used to...but I lost my enthusiasm for it long ago.
So the problem is that pvp is boring and crazy?...yup...that made me feel the same way.....
