Any Tholian missions?

Just curious to see as to how people have overcome their obvious lack of presence on STO as I am working on a Tholian mission right now

The Tholians have had a lack of presence in Trek to begin with, considering they had only two appearances (ENT and TOS) and some name mentions during the other series. They're probably in the same category as Gorn if you think about it.

They have been included in mainly games and other literature.

With a bit of jiggery pokery and lighting as well as some interesting Tholian Space effects I think I have been able to create some nice proto Tholian ships. You'll have to forgive some of the cheats I have to use to make these if you do spot them.

You'll find no greater fan of the Tholians than I, but I wouldn't dare attempt to create a mission involving them via the Foundry. The Tholians are so unique, so bizarre, so unconventional, so remarkable... It doesn't seem to me that we'd be able to do them justice given the current tool set! (And this is coming from a guy who typically embraces the seemingly impossible in the Foundry.)

As it's been said the Tholians will be getting their own feature episode series in-game later this year, I'm just eagerly--very eagerly--anticipating their true debut in Star Trek Online and hoping they manage to live up to the mystique.

Someday, if we're very lucky, the Tholians and their technology will be added to the Foundry.

Oh, and Tholians should not be confused with Thallonians.

Tholians are the six-legged, non-humanoid crystalline species first seen in the TOS episode "The Tholian Web," a mysterious and xenophobic race with a long history of conflict with the United Federation of Planets.

Thallonians are the red-skinned humanoid species introduced in Peter David's New Frontier novels, refugees from the former Thallonian Empire that once dominated Sector 221-G.

After the whole thing with Peter David you don't know the difference between his creation, a pretty major plot point in the series that so much has spun out of, and the folks with the web?

Funny enough I was and have always been until today confused about it. LOL 10 years of confusion that is bad for a self professed Star Trek Guru. I'm actually not certain a lot of folks in general would realize there is a difference. Going to send you a private pm btw,

The mission is coming together better than I thought. Keeping a lot of mystery abound and not assuming anything about what Cryptic might have in mind. Also a lot of multichoice options and minigames included. I'm thinking a good hour of game play for you all with a few nice Easter eggs included
