is that they go away. Don't get me wrong, I like the featured episodes, I enjoy the story lines, I enjoy the rewards, I enjoy that I was able to do the Reman plotline while still a lowly Lieutenant and then I was able to do it again as a Lieutenant Commander a few weeks later with a friend. For a day or two the featured episodes made leveling less of a chore and more of a game. But when you add a string of 4 or 5 missions to both sides of the game, it only helps correct an imbalance of content for as long as that string of 4 or 5 missions is still there. When they get replaced by a new string of 4 or 5 missions a week later, there's no net gain.
Now, I could only log in when a new featured episode comes out, focus solely on enjoying that content and then move on, I've got a lifetime sub so it's not like I'm counting minutes of play time per month versus my 15 dollar subscription. But I've got more time than that to kill and while I'm killing it here, I'd really like to receive more in the way of an immersive story driven game play experience and less of a long grind through a growing cloud of Cardassian wreckage. Or you could add permanent, fixed level versions of the featured episodes to be done for less dramatic rewards.
To tell you the truth, I'd be happy with a Featured series in Klingon space that could be repeated...I would welcome the Feds into red space if they'd welcomeus into their block as well....
While I'd like more KDF only missions, I know that this won't happen....If you want to level you have to repeat everything over and over or grind explores..I know it's boring but grinding pace explores in nebulae is the fastest way to level.
There has been talk of territory control and other endgame content around Season 5 (likely fall/winter 2011), which I think would address the issue you brought up.

This would be part of the overhaul of PVP correct?... While territorial control sounds like a nice idea, I know games that have done this and it has gone as PVP...GW comes to mind (the 1st expansion Factions brought that aspect to the game as PVP). It is not a PVE idea that I am aware of but the problem at KDF side is not only endgame of what to do but in the course of leveling as well....... We were talking about leveling I think were we not?

Yes, I believe this would be part of the PvP overhaul.
My interpretation was that the OP wanted something to do between featured episodes (I did not notice that this was in the Klingon Gameplay subforum so that he was referring to them didn't immediately register). Dan Stahl has talked about getting more early Klingon content (showing some of the early Federation missions through the Klingon perspective, for example) as well as shifting existing missions around in order to ultimately be able to level up through PvE content to max rank. The upcoming Duty Officer system will be one way to level up entirely without PvP or redoing the same featured episodes or patrols over and over.
What do you mean "they go away"? Once they're release, they stay released and you can do them anytime you want. The only thing that goes away is one special reward at the end of every Featured Series.

After doing the same episode for like the 100th time it kind of sucks.
I don't even bother with the dialogs anyone.
Elite isn't even a challenge anymore.
I'm maxed out level, so skill points mean nothing anymore.
Also, the rewards they dish out are useless at my level and worthless on exchange or bound-on-pickup which I avoid like the plague.
If you're looking for some things to do, try to get max crafting, max diplomacy, all accolades and trophies. Maybe even a character maxed at each career for each faction? Or maybe act like a Ferengi and see how much EC and latinum you can amass. Just little challenges like that can keep things interesting while we wait for the new content to start rolling out.
Ah, awesome. This will no doubt make the remainder of my leveling experience suck significantly less. Thank you.
You can use the mission replay, this would make it less boring but the leveling is not as fast as going into a nebula and grinding space explores. If you need help leveling or seeing my point explained visually, please feel free to contact me.

Your post intrigues me. Explain how.
Mission replay ? Go to your bridge and use the console in your ready room.
