TOS Qan Mang Fleet: Mature 30+ fleet

Star Trek Online The Original Series (TOS) Qan Mang Fleet (which is Klingon for Old Solider) is dedicated to the greatness that is the original series, Star Trek, from which all other Trek flows! The TOS Qan Mang Fleet has stemmed from the TOS Veterans Fleet where we needed a fleet for our Klingon toons and then we had a couple of people that wanted to join our fleet but only play Klingon toons.

The TOS Qan Mang Fleet is for mature casual players in their 30's and 40's (and beyond) that wish to participate in fun, fellowship and sharing of STO knowledge.

We are a mature fleet with an interest in maintaining the spirit of the original series through gameplay and the use of TOS era uniforms and equipment in game. (but not limited to them)

We have been working on a storyline for the Federation side that brings Captains from the past to help fight in the Klingon war in the 25th Century. Now the Klingons have found out of the secret operation and are compelled to avenge.

    TOS Qan Mang Fleet is a Mature 30+ fleet.

    If you're a TOS fan (you like the Klingons with and without ripples), you're mature (30s+), and are a relaxed, friendly, casual player, this may be the fleet for you.

    We're small but growing and have people interested in all facets of the game. We're also developing a TOS backstory collectively--everyone can contribute. And we're creating bios for are characters and sharing them.

    Captain Kregan reporting.

    I came across a very unusual situation today. 4 Romulan Bird's of Prey (the foul P'Taks, stealing the name of a glorious Klingon Battle Ship!) were attacking a Federation vessel. I remained cloaked and observed. At the start of the battle, the federation ship had no power and no shields. Seizing the moment, I decloaked and had a small party of my best warriors beam into one of their empty cargo bays.

    I wish I'd waited a moment, because out of nowhere, a federation ship of an unknown configuration dropped out of warp and blasted three of the Romulans to nothing in seconds flat. Today is a good day to die, but not to foolishly give up my life and the lives of my crew. I recloaked and went to warp. The High Command needs to know of this new Federation threat to the Empire!

    I hope that J'ole, K'lee, B'Ranna, Kronk, K'urg and Klang died well on board that federation ship. I shall raise a glass of Blood Wine and scream to let Sto'Vo'Kor know there are Klingon Warriors on their way!

    The TOS Qan Mang Fleet is made up of Klingons that have gone forward in time to the 25th Century to stop the TOS Veterans from interfering in the ear that will be their future.

    Because these Klingons were from the 2260's there were still a lot of Klingons without the ridges and folds on their heads. Our Klingons are a Genetic mix.

    several of us now have KDF characters fighting to stop the Federation from bringing in these "ghosts from the past" with "Old Warriors" of our own : Qan Mang!

    This is easy! If you are over 30, have work and family cutting into your 'play time', you like Star Trek A LOT and want to hang with people that are in the same mindset. Then please click on my signature image, go to the site... read the front page message, watch the 5min recruiting video and if you still like what you see, then come on and join our fleet.

    We have 48 people (mostly) in our main TOS Veterans Fleet and we have some of our alts and a in the TNG Veterans and the TOS Qan Mang Klingon Fleet and we are looking to keep this fleet to a medium size. So if this fleet appeals to you or if you need any more information please let me know.

    With the Klingon Awareness Week the TOS Qan Mang has been reborn!

    We have encoded top secret communications between Admiral Quinn of the Federation and the Mariner 10 Spacestation. We have been decoding as much information on this terrorist effort known as Project Christopher.

    The Qan Mang are now organizing a counter attack and espionage with the quest of stopping this project at all costs. Bringing balance and honour back to the Empire.

    This is a pre boarding for the TOS Qan Mang One Year Celebration. The date has been set for Saturday June 30th and will be an all day event including our brothers and sisters across the pond.

    If you have not heard of the TOS Qan Mang Fleet we are a Fleet of mature (40’s 50’s and beyond…) that have entered the 25th Century to stop a Federation movement to bring balance to the universe. Project Christopher was started to bring Captains with no future into the future to help fight the Klingon war.

    We will be working on an agenda/schedule and content for this event and are looking to you to mark off your calendars and add your ideas into the mix!

    D7s vs Connie’s (possible the Movie refit)
    Ground PvP with only TOS equipment (no shields or armour)
    All klingon STF runs
    Fleet Action with only Klingons
    Specially made Foundry mission
    Klingon PvP against other Fleets
    Tribble pie

    If you have not joined the TOS Qan Mang Fleet yet or even rolled a Klingong empire character please think about doing so and defend the honour of the Empire!

    If you have a Klingon and you want them in the fleet so that you can prepare or possibly level your KDF Toon please put your FULL character@handel in this thread and someone will send you a fleet invite!

    Fleet members on both sides of the pond are permitted to be involved with any of the competitions. We have highlighted the UK specific times in London Olive and it would be great if we could have everyone from both continents on at 5:00 EST & 2:00 PST. (9:00 GMT) for the Fleet Photo in whatever uniform they feel more comfortable in. A preference would be TOS Klingon Fleet Uniform but this is only a suggestion.

    Details:
    Data Sample and Particle Trace Farming is totally on the honour system. You can farm Data Sample and Particle Trace anytime during this 24 period and at the end of the day (or before you go to bed) put the items in the fleet bank and send me a note as to what you put in. There will be a prize for the most Data Samples deposited and a prize for the most Particle Traces donated. (Please only donate the samples you have accumulated on the day of the event)

    There will also be a prize of holiday gift boxes (with a very very very slight chance at winning a Jem'Hadar Bugship) for the player that donates the most Energy Credits into the fleet bank. This will be a silent contest so no one should know what you put in and they top donation will only be known when we visit the banking records.

    We are not only a Mature (+30?s) Social Casual Fleet but we have enough experienced players that have run over 400 STF?s and trained under some of the best PvPers in the game that are willing to help your Klingon be all that they can be.

    This is a great time to join the fleet with our one year anniversary coming up this Saturday. Come and join in the fun!

    The TOS Advisory Council would like to officially release the new TOS Qan Mang Fleet Website to all of you KDF lovers out there!

    We are trying to keep the two websites linked in together for the "Greater Fleet" unity so if you have one character in the one fleet please think about adding one to the other fleet in order to keep up on all the happenings. Jeff has also added a RSS Feed on each site to try to help share the communications.

    Please check out the new website and make sure if you have an KDF related topics that you put them on the Qan Mang site. If you have started some KDF related topics on the TOS Veterans forums (under the Klingon Forum section) we will be keeping that forum up for another week so you will be able to re-post them on the new site. Also feel free to post more Klingon related information on the new site.

    Any questions, concerns of ideas please feel free to PM the Chancellor or a member of the High Council and we will do what we can.

    I honestly couldn't ask for a better fleet. I was a Klingon, all alone, with only the occasional drunken Trill for companionship. Then I found TOS Qan Mang. The KDF sister fleet to TAS Veterans, TAS Qan Mang exists to provide a counter to the underhanded Federation tactics used by TOS Veterans. I applied, and I was soon welcomed with open arms into a community of brother and sister warriors renown for their friendly natures and skill with the Bat'leth.

    Come seek out TOS Qan Mang, brothers and sisters! Requirements and limitations are few, while the benefits are many! And for you Federation petaQs, I suppose TOS Veterans are honorable enough enemies...
    Hi! I used to be JBHemlock. There's already one of those in PWE. I play the Klingon Kerr, but there's already a Kerr in PWE, too. So I'm Gehmor, my Cardassian alt. Just picture me with a plate of gagh.
