All right several days later from when I started this thread I've finally come to my own decision.

My fed toon are deleted.. not some of them, ALL of them.
2 VA's with all thier goodies, all thier fluff, 2 of them full on ambassadores, one with Max crafting all gone..
    and thier tribble clones.

Both on both Holodeck and Tribble

I'll keep checking now and again, but for now I'm giving up on STO. Imballanced factions in an MMO do not work. This has been proven so many times in other MMO's thats I won't even waste time commenting on the patenetly obvious.

I put my money where my mouth is and took a leap of faith by buying a life sub to STO when it first released. I think I may have even had the lifetime sub purchased before the game went live.. I purchased 3 different releases of the game to get special starting items, a Boxed Collectors edition, and 2 electronic purchases. I spent my money and I honestly have NOT gotten my moneys worth. I've likely thrown.
another $100 at the C-store besides. And I did sacrifice some extra ship slots purchsed when I deleted my feds, so that moeny was wasted.

Yet another company that has stuck the word "Star Trek" on a product and delvered something remarkably sub standard.

In spite of all the improvements to the game graphics it still looks like a cartoon in ground play. In many ways its one of the ugliest MMO's on the market. I know of brousr based JAVA drivin FTP MMO"s that actually manage to look better. My other main MMO is AIon. Its a couple years older the STO in the US and is far far better looking. So Cryptic took the same dated graphuics engine the used to make Champions, and City of Hero's (works fine if your a comic or cartoon). Threw in some starships, gave it the trek label and have proceeded to rake in the money.

Throw in on top of all these criticisims that are well earned a ongoing refusal to "Balance" thier ingame factions and the over all cheap feel to the game, and what I'm told is some of the very worst customer support in the industry. Thier only claim to fame as an MMO is the foundry tool. And really, tis should be looked at as just a bit of a cop out on Cryptics part. They no longer need to worry about creating new mission content. If you read the agreements they have the right to cherry pick the best of the Foundry missions and incorporate them into the game as official missions. Not that I think its a bad idea, But writers should get artistic credit because no matter what Cryptic may say, any original story line a fan puts into a mission is the fans property. Failure to recognice that is called conversion, and its a criminal act, especially if they're not Cryptic employees and recieve no compensation for thier work.

But all of the above is venting on my part..

The important part is the are 3 fed characters on Tribble that no longer exist, and 4 characters on Holodeck that no longer exist.

I will not play a Fed character in this game again untill such time as the Klingon faction is as playable as the fed faction. This does not require a very great deal.

6-10 ships hulls, 20 varient ship art. and.. eh.. 200 Missions that provide a steady PvE progression for the Klingon players from Beck to General. Put the entire team that can do this kind of work on it and it'll be done and ready for testing in 60 days. 30 days after that it'll be ready for tribble. a couple weeks there and ready for Holodeck.

I'm really tired of hearing Excuses, Justification, and an on going Cop Out from Stahl and company. They may not think this is what we paid for, but WE think and thought this is what we paid for, and have had every reason to belive that to be true, and every reason to be disapointed in what we have been sold.

I dug up some of the original ad copy for STO. There was nothing in it that gave any impression the the Klingon play experience was to be any less then that of the fed player.

    Very very very disapointing.

Wow...you deleted 7 toons. Yeah, that'll show em. Stick it to the man.

Maybe you should have read the replies you got in your own thread and realized that just about everyone posted more effective ways for you to carry your protest forward?

Also, your 200 more missions needed for Klingon parity is a crazy number and if you think they could crank that out in the 90 days you have outlined - well, that tells me everything I need to know about your level of reasonableness.

It has been discussed several thousand times in the forum and even acknowledged by the loudest KDF supporters that the announcement of Klingon faction being PvP focused was made before launch. You can reasonably gripe about whether you think the KDF at launch was even playable as PvP, but the Klingons as PVE equals (at launch) has been debunked. You must have missed the announcement before you bought your LTS.

I have a Klingon that has been a commander for 6 or 7 months because I hate to grind, but deleting my feds wouldn't convince anyone that the numbers are at some magical tipping point where the game is about to implode unless 200 klingon missions are added.

I can't delete my fed. I may need to play it oneday to have a meaningful gameplay experience in STO, since its a little lacking KDF side.:p

I agree that deleting fed characters isn't the answer. The problem is the confusing and stand off-ish situation. Looking only at the basic and obvious here.

the confusion: they are and have been slowly adding some KDF stuff. However, they admit to holding back on increased, more even focus on KDF development. This can be attributed to continued statements by Cryptic saying basically "until numbers greatly increease, it isn't going to happen" which in a way makes sense...if you ignore the next tidbit.

the stand-off: it is known that a fair amount of players who don't play KDF much, or at all, say they are not interested until the content is more equalized. That is where the problem is, because Cryptic is aware of this, yet we continure to get the same statements of "until numbers greatly increase, it is not going to happen".

As long as this situation remains the same, nothing is really gonna change. One side or the other needs to step up to the plate in order for this to change. Either we have to beg, borrow, and persist on the all players to just make a KDF character or two; or Cryptic needs to fully accept their failure for what it is and develop already- with out the same "no, shove it..."statement.

KDF development really should not equal- foundry, feature episodes, or simply openning up and sharing Fed content, KDF deserves it's own stuff

If you can't make the KDF a proper faction, how will the Romulans turn out.

A voice of reason in this angry thread...
The big question is, how do we get Cryptic to recognize this problem and tend to it?
We posted over and over about the same thing for a year and a half now.
You'd think they would realize that if they had more Klingon content and options, it might draw back the hundreds who left STO just because of such limited Klingon content.
I know KBF alone started with almost 50 players, now we're at just a literal handful.

I have a KDF on general 4 and I don't play him much because pvp is not my thing and every time I try it takes hours to get a match going and sometimes by the time it happens I have to log out. Also I have one KDF character I started just for having a crafter that can make Disruptor weapons. But that's all I do on KDF side besides occasionally loading my KDF crafter up and doing the Pi Canis Sortie missions to get samples. About the only thing I really like about the KDF side is the pve missions. Of course I haven't found the Fek'lhri missions so I haven't tried those.
