In honor of my long-running thread by the same name, I have created my first mission:

Franklin Drake Must Die.
Federation, all levels
ST-HJPILABJJ

"Admiral Johnson needs your help to stop a rogue Section 31 agent from altering the timeline for unknown ends. Can you stop him in time, or is entire Alpha Quadrant in danger? To save eternity, Franklin Drake Must Die."

Review away. Hope you enjoy it; if not, please give me details why not so I can make it better. There will be sequels, but not immediately; I want to let the tools mature a little before I tackle the next one in the series.

    Franklin Drake must die? That sounds compelling. But no clue when I get to check it out.

    Update based on feedback from TrekBBS forum members:

    v1.1 - dialed down the difficulty on the trash mobs in the base, restored missing dialog on mission start, added some "color" ships around SB39

    v1.2 - fixed TOS Klingons being where they had no business being, added dialog options in some of the more controversial dialog progressions.

    v1.3 - workaround for really fast ships approaching SB39, closed an embarassing plot hole, changed the rift because it was ugly

    Ran into the problem of having two concentric reach markers too close together; with the new engines, people were blowing through too fast.

    Hey, I liked your mission and everything, but I think this breaks Cryptics EULA since you're using characters that are made by Cryptic.

    I would recommend just changing a few names around and establishing foundry missions around a possible Franklin Drake subordinate who is twice as devious.

    As far as I know, only canon characters are not allowed for usage. Featuring Drake is perefectly okay then.

    Yes, my understanding is that only the likenesses of actors are prohibited, the use of Cryptic's characters is perfectly fine. But thanks for the feedback!

    v1.4 - redid the underground base, minor dialog tweaks.

    Thanks to all who have contributed reviews, both positive and negative. If you want to give me 1 star, by all means give me 1 star; just please tell me WHY, so I can improve!

    This should be the last major update to FDMD until major Foundry changes give me more tools to tell the story the way I envision it, but I will continue to make minor tweaks as people find areas it can improve.

    Minor update:

    v1.5 - added dialog tree for people who haven't encountered Drake yet, added protection to keep certain people from falling in ravines. You know who you are... :)
