My 2 part Foundry Mission is now available for review. Please search author "futurecaptain" to find both parts. Those who review mine can expect their missions to be reviewed by me in return!
A gorn ambassador has reached out to the federation in an attempt to forge a peace. You have been tasked to escort him to a peace conference on Defera, but there are those in the Gorn hegemony who will stop at nothing to prevent it.
These missions are currently withdrawn until the Foundry bug has been fixed. A player brought to my attention that part 1 was unplayable and although it works in the editer, the published version does not.
They will both be available once there is a fix for this bug that seems to be affecting a number of missions on the foundry.
Fix applied, both are now available. Please enjoy them!
More feedback is needed as I prepare my next foundry mission. Please help. I will accept all criticism good and bad! Thank you to all who have posted reviews! If anyone has a mission they need reviews for, I will play yours if you will play mine!
I have posted in-game reviews for all three of your missions, all five stars. Please review my mission. You can find it easily by simply searching for my handle, MrCC3000.
The idea of an organization within the section 31 was nice. The space combat was ok, but from a story point of view and to make it feel like the klinks really were sending reinforcements why not bring them in waves instead of all at once? Nothing a FAW spam couldn't handle but still. The mechanics need some polish but I liked the story and will definitely watch for more.
"Gave Peace a Chance" renamed as "Give Peace a Chance Part II". If you read it too quickly it looks like the same title, so maybe people are getting confused. Or just not playing it.
I tried to play Give Peace A Chance, but the ground combat was absolutely impossible on Elite. I'm not exaggerating either, it really is absolutely impossible. The Gorn Rangers hit for 600+ damage with their bolt spray, and 200 with a normal shot. It's not your fault, it's the bugged Cryptic elite ground mode, but I couldn't even get past the first group. I'd die in less than 10 seconds. God, Cryptic's lack of any attention to fixing major bugs really ****es me off.
As far as I got, the station was decently populated. Ferengi Bartender was named UGC Contact though. I thought the space battle was OK, although I think it would be better if at least one of the groups engaged after the dialogue. I'd suggest putting one spawn closer and then put an invisible wall tall (set the Y to -20 so that it's harder to go underneath) that goes away once the dialogue is completed, causing the ships to engage.
Anyway, I'll give the mission another shot when the ground revamp goes in, assuming it actually fixes the problems, which knowing Cryptic is not guaranteed.
Thanks for the feedback! I think there is only one lieutenant level spawn on the BoP too. The rest are all ensign. I'm surprised that it is still so hard even on elite. When I tested them it was on advanced not elite. It was tough but not impossible.
Using the wall is something I hadn't thought of. I was trying to avoid having ships attack whil you are reading dialogue if they are too close since people, understandably, don't like to be dropped into the middle of a fight.
Nice catch on the ferengi and thanks! Even boglejam missed that lol!

Overall, the missions stand at 30 reviews between the two and are evenly rated at about 4 out 5 for both.
