Badland Plasma Storms

There is an effect in game for the Badlands plasma storms. any one know what they are called. I cant seem to find them.

ie - i mean the swirling cones, not the actual badlands map.

Don't know the name, but it looks kind of ugly in regular space, someone used it on a map when the foundry was still on tribble.

yes it does but i need it for badland space so i hope it looks ok, but i just cant find the stupid thing.

There's no way to create the swirling storm effect in the editor. You just have to use the Badlands map and cover up the planets.

Also, this is a necro thread.

Yes, there are swirling cones. The badlands backdrop, if I recall, is the actual map. The swirling cones come under the backdrop list, I believe.

I have put them together before but I am away from the PC now so can't check.

(OK, I had a look and you need...

MAP:
Space > Pre-Made Map > 'Badlands Space'

BACKDROP:
change 'Stars Only 01' to 'Badlands Space'

THAT will give you cones.)

if all you want is the swirly effect, just use the badlands backdrop, you don't need to use the badlands map itself.
