Klingon CLoak time for dev response ?

Hiyaaa

as we all know klinks and proboly all other cloak vessels have issues when prompted with a message u decloak and u get annoyed and possible killed couse ur cloaked in middle of enemy ships and u get angry u delete ur bridge officers have them executed or something.

this singel problem makes playing klings sooooooo annoying and worthless.
we got the tell a patch for it would be soon. but no response nor patch has been given YET months of this bugg.

any dev willing to maybe speak up and let uss get some insight to our lovly and most hated bugg ? :):confused:

    Though I would have used a spell checker and better grammar, I totally agree.

    It would be nice if someone would say something about this. KDF players have been complaining for a while and I have not single a single dev response.

    The problem: When cloaked, the appearance of a dialog pop-up or mini-pop-up causes the ship to decloak. This makes cloaking completely useless in a majority of missions.

    It does indeed effect all vessels with cloak not just those of the KDF and also if you look in the march engineering report its listed as under investigation I believe. So we have had some word...

    It's already been said. The fix is not easy to do and unlikely to happen soon, but they are aware of it. It requires rework of some pretty fundamental event processing mechanics in the game.

    Its not an issue of being KDF or not, this bug also applies to the Dreadnought and the Retrofit T escort...

    It hasn't always been this way. Can't they just undo whatever they did that made this happen?

    No. If they undid the fix, then you could interact with anything (healing, scanning, etc.) while remaining cloaked. That's the reason it was "fixed" to begin with, and can't be undone without major rework on interaction mechanics.

    huh? so they fixed the cloak by breaking it?
    that sounds fun... can we do this all the time until nothing works as intended anymore plz?
    and actually fixing it will be as hard as "sitting in chairs" tech?

    in any case what is the problem with interacting with something while cloaked?
    don't say Kerrat! i thought we had agreed to NUKE that Borg Hub in FED/KDF space anyway!?

    Sulu flew stuff in a Chopper into a cloaked BoP and it did not decloak to interact.
    They beamed people arround in multiple episodes and never had to decloak...

    Canon says you CAN interact with stuff while cloaked.

    oh well just another 100 Emblems until i get out of that Defiant Retrofit and into a MVAM Prometheus... good riddance you worthless special ability. :mad:

    What would keep a normal crew when cloaked from healing the ship? It doesn’t since when cloaked and out of red alert the hull is repaired. Engineering team should be possible on yourself, not others while cloaked.

    Anyway I discovered that bug quite early, but sometimes these so-called important messages happen at a moment that I don’t expect it and when I cannot cope in a 10-15 to 1 fight. 5-6 frigates I can handle during a fleetaction… 10-15 gives me the run and hide feeling, more then that probably gives me a dying feeling.

    They say that they have...what I think is just that they don't quite know how to change the bug because its related to the dialogue box..and if they fix it incorrectly, just think, every dialogue box might have the possibility of being bugged...the horror...the insanity...run!!!!
