One of the things I always enjoyed in the old A-Team series was their creative ways of turning everything into something full of military awesomeness! I was looking for the one where they did up the school bus but YouTube doesn't seem to have much and I couldn't find the specific clip I wanted. These things always happen when I'm out! I was in WHitby this morning when this happened. Trying to research the error through my Galaxy Nexus was somewhat of a challenge when off of the faster data network we have here in Toronto. Eventually I found ou this was a write error due on the host end. Their web chat is absolutely useless on a moble browser but repeated attempts got me a tech that was able to repair the issue quickly. We are back!
The only major challenge is finding an admin that is actually interested in helping with the site as myself, Z, and Momma don't have the time and expertise needed to maintain it. With my uncle's website off of my hands due to them selling the fishing resort. I am very happy to part ways with web design. It's definitely something I have never enjoyed or had the patience for but we, the Holy Trinity, three took it on because our community needed a home and will continue to do so.

Z should be fine! I've been following the hurricane on my phone when I'm not in. Without goign into detail, it's just not very likely the storm will affect where she lives all that much. There is always the freakish chance it could go inland and head towards her state but that's really unlikely. Even the shortest route to her, it would be pretty much out of steam by the time it got there. Most hurricanes that head up the east cost continue to go up the east coast. If it does turn inland, I'm going to say it won't until it's close to New Jersey/New York. By that time, it should be severely weakened.

Not too bad here. It's 40F out and that's our low for the night. Supposed to get upto 52F tomorrow and rain. The wind has picked up but nothing overly insane like the news keeps exaggerating.

Checking up on the situation in Z's area in the news. Power will not likely be restored until Friday at the earliest but Sunday seems to be more of a practical ETA based on current weather, clean up, and priorities for the power company. I miss my buddy! I sure hope she is doing okay! With more snow on the way tonight, please keep warm and stay safe, Z! I'd gladly trade you the 45F and sunny outside for your snow and below freezing temps.
Z's back! HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY! Turns out, she was lucky and the power wasn't the issue. It was her crappy cable internet! :P In a lot of places (here included), cable wires tend to be up on the power line polls also. I am so glad Z's back online!

I stand by my statement made in the Frankenstorm thread, I have absolutly no clue why we were placed under a blizzard warning. There was no swirling snow in the wind, unless it was at night. It all fell quickly, and it's all pretty much gone now.

We had the same sort of issue here. Media over-exaggeration caused more chaos than anything. This news story for example. This woman died when a Staples sign fell on her. She had gone out to get batteries in case the power went out. I can't speak for the other side of the city but over in my end, we have no power outages, hardly any rain, and the winds were nothing close to the 100kph - 120kph the media has been stating we were going to get.
