Is there a way to add mats to the mission? I understand why we couldn't have full control over that (add 15 mats to a map :P), but it might be nice to have some.
I suppose it has something to do with possible data sample reap exploit. Like make a map, put 100 various class samples there and collect them all to your liking in a minute.
I imagine some might randomly spawn on the map (in a later update), but there are good reasons that you can't do it now. If you need to have someone scan stuff, you don't need it to be ACTUAL data.
I actualy was hopeing for this when I first started with foundry. It would be nice to have them available and even though they are exsplotitive. Restricting them for missions or maps would fix this quite easily.

3 be perfect, first map enter from turbo lift walk down short hall with tier 1 samples along floor, reach turbo lift at end hall, take lift to map 2 same set up but tier 2 samples, etc etc. after level 6 take lift back to lvl 1, wash repeat, okay devs whn can we get this added?
I will say that probably the developer point of view on this is that it is classified as a reward for a mission. Now I won't say that we will never see it, but i think there might be some engine based jiggery pokery(yes that's a technical term) that would allow them to be dynamically loaded later, but I don't know that this is even on the scanner yet for the Foundry team.

Scannable data used for crafting. Take the "collect 5 data" explorer mission for example.
