Can I set it so that one console causes a large number of enemies to appear and a second console makes them disappear?

You can do this with objects, but not with npcs. Currently, npcs can only go from hidden to visible. I'm not sure why they are restricting the options for npc contacts, but they may be doing this for groups to prevent exploits.

Yeah. See, I was kinda hoping to try and create a scenario that forces a captain to split his away team into two groups and I was gonna try to do this by having a requirement to kill enemies who only exist while a wall is up and then replace the console that raises/lowers the wall with a non-functional copy to split up the away team.

Anyone have good strategies for intentionally forcing an away team to split up?

It does occur to me that if I want a second console to wipe out enemies on the other side of a wall, I could conceivably have a second console that beams in friendly reinforcements in massive numbers.
