Just started using the Foundry yesterday so I'm sorry for the noob questions. I can't seem to find answers from any other posts.
1. I completed my first project using custom maps and costumes, then when I began my second project I can't seem to reuse some of the elements that I created. Are these custom items restricted to a single project?
2. I've been working heavily with map transfers and there's one thing that I can't figure out. On the initial map transfer you need to specify a door. I get that. What I don't get is why there are some key places without doors (i.e. DS9, Bajor, Cardassia, etc)?
Come on guys, I can't be the only person that's come across these issues? Nobody finds it bizarre that we can't reuse custom elements between projects or start missions in key ST locations?
Thanks chaddy, you've just saved me a ton of work.
Any idea on how to start missions from key locations w/o doors? It seems strange that I have to beam down to DS9 interact with a candle stick, just to beam back up to begin a mission?

remember this is still beta, we are basicaly testing functionality, when and if this goes holodeck, we will get all the meat and potatoes, also they want to find way to reduce file size on our drives before they add more locations and maps.
My fleet and I have been doing nothing but testing different areas of the tool to see what the limits are. However, nobody can explain why only certain systems are left out. Why are the obscure systems there but not the popular ones? I'm not complaining at all. We just keep moving on to a different area of focus. But in these cases I'm not sure if the problem is technical or ignorance.
As we learn more, we'll close the gap on questions. I'm just not the type to let an unanswered question sit there for too long.

The only way to start from esd ds9 etc is to interact with a person or object on that map. ie a candlestick lol. You could do a little story while your on ds9 so the player has a reason to go there.
Don't ask me why this is the case as I don't know but I think the devs are looking into this
