Already I have enjoyed some amazing missions in testing on tribble, the problem is most of these are Federation.
I would respectfully ask all you great authors, especially the ones getting those excellent missions brought over to holodeck in the spotlight to take pity on us poor Klingons and throw some of that magic over our way.

I'd love to see what you can do with the storylines present in the KDF, and your efforts would be very appreciated by a content starved bunch much deserving of a break from grinding the same repeatable missions over and over.

Cheers!

I suspect that because of the fact that there is a limit to how many missions you can make, most people want to focus on their fave faction, and most people's fave faction is obviously the Feds. That said, it would be nice if people could devote at least 1 of their slots to a KDF mission, even if they are mainly a Fed fan.

I have considered making some Klingon missions, but I was afraid I wouldn't do them justice.

I might make one in the near future though.

Despite what we've seen Klingons take everything from the weak. Kirk pleaded with the Organians, "they'll make your people SLAVE labor", "Kill your governor and install their own". Enter Kuur, DS9 Kor, The Fed and Klings? They just took political jabs, really. They were never at REAL war until DS9 and STO, TOS was brinkmanship. Most of the time in the movies and shows Klingon tried power grabs.

The Organian's left this universe, I guess...they used to be SOOOO again this war. Creative license.

Because most people don't think of Klingers as "godless killing machines", which they CAN be. It's dispute is it honor or war....

OK, if you want it you got it. Coming soon Days of Bloodwine and Roses

The problem is that so very few people play Klingon missions.

I made one and it took over a week before anyone played it.\

Why make a mission that wont be played?

Go on, give 'The Killing Circus' a try. You know you want to.

    Rated KDF-16 for Romulans.

i plan to make a long klingon story arc of 5 or 6 eps, starting with my ty'gokor misison now on holodeck. (level 31).

although if you dont like part 1, you might not like the rest, but i do plan to spend much of my time helping out the klingons. :)

remember too we have the gorn, orions and naussicans, if the whole honor and glory blah blah is too narrow, delving into these factions might offer some fun.

I think the fact many klingons aren't playing missions now is that they are waiting for the foundry to go to holodeck, once there is a decent back catalogue on live probably more people will dust off their klingons and use the foundry to level.

thanks for all your efforts authors!

the Nausicaan's don't seem to offer much more depth to mine for storylines (other than being stock enemies) -- really, outside of ripping out Picard's heart there isn't much to latch onto there and work with.

Gorn could prove more interesting as we have a little more to work with.

Yet there are even inconsistencies with Klingons...like the concept of a Klingon farmer shown in some holodeck missions. That just doesn't ring true from what we see and I reflect that in my missions where the Klingon's follow the Spartan model -- where they are at the top with subjugated races delegated to such roles as farming...in fact I'd think farming leafy greens in and of itself (unless to feed subjugated peoples) would be less important than farming various forms of worm and other live live foods that the Klingons seem to have in their high protein diets :)

So, I've come around on this whole UGC thing, and I'm starting work on some stuff myself. And seeing the disparity, and since I'm a primarily KDF player, I'm gonna make with the KDF missions. The first thing I'm working on actually has a Gorn-related hook. So we'll see how this turns out.

I agree there are discrepancies...another is the orions, are the females in charge of everything, do the males have the capability to excell without them, in their society are they allowed positions of power independant of female influence.

I think Nausiccans have opportunities because they are a blank sheet, in fact players that make missions for the KDF may even have more freedom cannon wise to explore the members of the kdf because the information just isn't there to draw on, it has to be made up, become popular and influence enough people that it becomes STO soft cannon.

Awesome! Let me know when your mission is done; I'd love to play it :)
