Just to inform anyone interested in this, in the end I deleted my character with the name change. When I try to create a new character with the <name 1> it says that the name is already used but I can create a character with <name 2> without any problem.

The thing is that if you rename a character from <name 1> to <name 2> and then you delete that character, would <name 1> (the old name) become available again? That's what I want to know, if someone has tested that case. Of course if you create a character and delete it the name will be available again, I'm talking about…

Any news on this? I would delete my character to test it but it's high lvl and married and well, I wouldn't like to delete it for nothing if this method doesn't works :S PS: Sorry for the double post.

Exactly this ^^ If @eirghan can confirm that did it as is described here then that answers my question, I only want to know if by this method the <name 1> is available again. If not I would kindly appreciate it if you can investigate it @arspaulina#4310

In that thread they are talking about creating an alt character to see if a name is available or not, then delete that alt and after 7 days rename your main character to the name the alt was using. Nothing to do with what I'am asking xD

I have read that thread already and doesn't answer my question since nobody there mentions having tried what I suggest. Still that's not reason to not wanting PWE to make the things more clear ^^ And here (http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/pwi/news/detail/9007823-pwi-eclipse-overview!) you can read "expansion goes live December 16th!". You are right about how PWE has done always the updates, but still that phrase is wrong =P
