Configuring through the launcher configuration refuses to let me set a resolution with a width higher than 600 (or, at least, in regards to the selectable resolutions). I'm having the same problem; but, only when running full screen. Try setting it to a windowed view. So far, this has been working for me, but more than a bit irritating as it restricts me to an 800x600 resolution since I'm playing from a Widescreen TV opposed to a display, which has a 1360x768 resolution.
