I ran a quick check, most of the people who posted in this thread have not applied a beta key. The game will tell you your account is invalid if you have not done so. Go to the account info page and paste your beta key into the box. If you don't have a key, perhaps some of the media sites still have some remaining...

When you register an account, it gets placed in a "holding" area. Once you activate it from your email, it is removed from there and saved as a normal account. However, if you don't activate it within 6 hours, the account is deleted. Since you asked this question yesterday it's safe to assume those 6 hours have passed.…

Logging in from the forum index page should be fixed, and when logging in to the site the forum should remain logged in as well.
