irbis, your views and input about the game were fine, in fact I agree with most of them. Pay no attention to folks like tinkus, they would argue with a brick wall if they could.

What you are playing now, is what you will be playing at release - with minor bug and text fixes.

It's fascinating that there is still not official fix for this problem.

As a cleric I can say the targeting lag issue is a real pain. I'll target someone buff or heal them and it buffs or heals me. Something like that in pvp is just, well bad. Well for what it's worth - I'm in Virginia and unable to patch on 1 PC while the other patches just fine without a problem. If I move the patched files over to the other PC and attempt to login I get a 'cannot connect to sever' error..

I've done that probably over 2 dozens times now. No dice.

I've mentioned several times throughout the thread that I'm using Win XP 32 bit SP2 - Although I've upgraded to SP3 now in hopes it would work since the computer it does work on runs SP3. Still no dice though. So both computers running Win XP 32 SP3.

I tried it. But like I said, it's an issue with actually connecting to the patcher. It's as if something is blocking access. Please read my previous posts for further information regarding the issue.

I don't think you understand the problem we have here. Please read the thread for an idea. Can't connect to the patcher - can't download element.data.

Still leaves those of us stuck on buff_str.txt without a fix. There is no file named buff_str.txt to delete. Not only that but most of us are having problems actually connecting to the patcher.
