They dont need to buy all items, just the most expensive so they can easily corner and manipulate certain markets.. again I've seen this happen before and know the long term repercussions although they might not be visible right now.

generally a rollback is just that.. you regain all the items you had before it, trades that happend during the questionable time are reverted and everything is exactly as it was before the incident.

Basically a rollback is the best option to restore the game to its previous state. Ok so you will lose a couple hours of playtime, its not the end of the world... or would you rather not be able to afford to purchase anything in a much inflated economy for the forseeable future?
