I have this exact issue now - it is still possible to complete the "Journey to the core" quest without having the "A new form" quest. Neither my inv or the quest inv has the soulcore from completing the "Core" quest. The "A New Form" quest asks you to complete the "Journey" quest - which is impossible as it is already been…

Yes - and with that they just closed the ticket :| With the issue I have - it is clearly a bug. I also received the canned reply about players being responsible for their own actions which further ticked me off - responsibility goes both ways. Telling players to pay their way around game bugs and issues is just insulting.
-
Accountability works both ways when you are missing something due to a bug in the game.
-
This isn't the only example of mixed support. I have a barb that did the "Journey to the Core" quest before the "A new form" Quest. The "A new form" quest tells you to do "Journey to the core" but you're unable to - as it's already done. Without having "A new form" in your quest list - Journey doesn't give you the quest…

Is the 3x xp, 2x spirit, 2x drops being turned off with this maintenance?
-
It's hardly a majority of them (the TW battles) - at least on Arch. I don't see what the problem is with the change of the times - TW happens at the weekends - on Sat/Sun - these times allow both the US, EU and Asia to attend and participate. That a few in the US can't sleep in until noon... No offence but suck it up. A…

6 days and no daily code or ig event for the maiden kissed chest...

There's no need for horns to pollute every channel and be unable to filter them

Bank what you can, do the bank quests for extra space. Make a choice - sell/dump non-essentials.

14h down for me - map died about 5am EU time.
-
You don't even need to push a button - bare bones with virtual servers with an api allow you to spin up instances on demand with very little delay. You can even automate the reverse proxy to add/remove back end service instances as needed. Use a 3rd party and it's all done for you - you just define the SLA. ofc - this…

Quoted for truth

A rollback is very unlikely.
-
Main map is down on Arch - and has been for 13h now - so I can't test anything.. We're all locked in instances at the mo :( Will try to when its back up.
-
That's a short sighted approach - no offence. Take the time to teach them and help them learn - just as somebody did with you at some point. You have a chance to turn these people into decent, well informed team players, don't waste it. A game dies when people stop helping others.
-
Brownian motion - given enough time it will wander close enough and fall in.
-
Set auto for a large enough radius to kill the snowmen in arch and they could easily just have fallen into the water if there's enough of other people around taking them out first. The attackable in question should be taken out of the tab target order - so you would have to click target to attack.
-
tbh - the worst aspect to this is that new starters on the tails of the expansion, bringing new lift to the servers, will now see PWI in a poor light.
-
On a related note - it would be nice to see things like: 1) RoR entrance/exit in Morai/Primal 2) BH/AH/Commission shop/Elder npcs in both Morai/Primal 3) boutique items (tradable ofc) for summoning banker/mailbox/ah anywhere on the map (incl. instances) for 5-10 mins Not only would these facilitate game play but would also…

It's not about getting pwi to reply about the issue. The forums are a place for the community to get together to discuss ideas/issues that concern them. The OP is raising a valid point which is now being discussed. We have limited ways to influence what actually happens - you're right. Other communities do a much better…

Having an actual person to monitor is a waste of resources. Software can do a far better job - a system is comprised of many facets - literally hundreds of things should be monitored: network latency, dns, time sync on the servers, server resources, critical system processes (like maps), disk usage, etc. Software monitors…
-
You don't need somebody to monitor things - just some software that does and then escalates when there's an issue to whoever is oncall - sms/IM - there are plenty of options.
-
Actually - there's no difference between a server being down and a service being down with how tech and systems are currently. The IP addy you think you are connecting to won't be an actual server but a service hidden behind it. The service is down, it is a critical service to the Arch population. It should be monitored…

Maintenance happened - servers went down. Patches can be server side as well as client. Just because the client version didn't change - it doesn't mean the servers weren't patched
-
CN does the coding but after that it's unclear what happens and it will depend on what deal has been negotiated by those in the US running the show. (1) The code could be shipped stateside - giving those running the US side of things control over their localised version. This approach is one you can see exemplified with…
-
For a decent production environment you'll use puppet/chef to deploy and configure the servers so you have a repeatable and scalable environment. Operator error is the primary cause of most system failures or compromise. Change your dns/routers to a short ttl for the duration of the update. Then you'll rent/buy servers to…

If you spent more time looking on the forums - you would find a post by Spark stating they have no manual patch. Don't be a complete *** to somebody who is answering your question and your own laziness to actually find the info. Here is the post in question - do you need help in clicking the link also?
-
I wouldn't put all the blame on China.. Whoever in the US setup the deal to run the US servers did so very badly.
-
There's not been a manual patch in ages. The only difference for a manual vs the current one - is one of perception. The current system, if you ensure p2p is enabled, should be faster.
