I tried patching it again after awhile and all the files went through. So for the time being the game plays. It did keep minimizing and going to desktop, but restarting it fixed that.

I had that happen to. All that was on the desktop was the stupid installer icon. Couldn't even find it in the hdd files. So what I did was click on the installer icon and it will tell you where it wants to save. For me it was in documents, and downloads.
