Well actually you were right the first time, Blacksmiths sell ammo merchants don't. In the Blacksmith trade window hit the "Shot" tab to buy ammo. And make sure you buy the right level of arrow.

Yes they have to be soloed, and I soloed them on my cleric. Just stack ironheart and grab some damage absorbing powders.

Look at the screenie again, the materials for the quest disappeared, but he still has the quest to gather the materials. You should submit a ticket to support.

Do you have arrows? Bows need arrows to work. You can either find arrows from mob drops or buy them from the blacksmith.
