Ill check on the essentials thing. The antivirus isn't a problem because I have yet to install one :) Out of the box it wanted me to use norton and I did not activate it yet. Sorry to hear about your problem. You are not alone though hun. I am in the same exact boat. I gave up after 4 uninstalls/ redownloads. It is uber lame. actually got the manual client to download all the way and got this: still no word from pwi. Headed back to the forums to see what I can do with a fully downloaded current manual patch. I know its the current one that begins with a 6. I'll post if anything ends up actually working.

and overnight I uninstalled everything and started from scratch, ran into the same problem on the same file. Even the manual patch freezes at the same point in the manual download of a mirror from the pwi website. b:surrender
