  • Well I am giving PW a shot first, So far Its a very solid game. I have met some really nice people on here already who are more than happy to answer a lot of my questions. Seems like this is probably one of the best F2P games out there. To answer the question above about why even try RoM, as I stated before hand I am the…
  • It keeps saying you guys are offline lol
  • Sanctuary I think you told me to start on that 1 cuz it has the best people.
  • I just want to make sure I fully understood one last time please. I still find it hard to believe. Especially now that I am actually looking at the beautiful game. If I work hard, if I do not mind farming some hours a week. I can actually play this game for free all the way up to lvl 80 (where some one in game told me, I…
  • Is playing a Blade Master expensive? How long can I play the game before I start to notice myself in need of the item mall and unable to farm enough money to buy the items I need within a reasonable amount of time?
  • Can only some genders be some jobs in this game?
  • Does a larger population in this game translate to a stronger economy overall? Or to easier to buy items from players? In FFXI smaller population servers are actually easier to buy stuff from price wise.
  • Well once the endless update ends....... wow that sounds dumb...but once this very long update finishes ill jump into PW:I before I try RoM, You guys gave me some awesome answers so I feel more motivated to give this game the first week of my time :D What server did you say again to join in? Sanctuary right?
  • Well the thing about FFXI is it actually provides you with a ton of stuff to do at mid and at high levels. Maybe not a lot at low levels but once your level 50 you can do about 6 months of in game content without ever leveling again, and without repeating any of the content twice, At max level the game has 3 dedicated…
  • I must add, it does seem like many more people play PW for some reason instead of RoM, an answer on the RoM forums takes sometimes 10 hours for a single reply on here I get a reply every 5-15 min.
  • Well I am currently downloading the game :D I am downloading RoM as well. I want to try both games to see which one is more Casual/PvE quest based, less grind and less cash shop based more Free 2 play friendly. Going to try to give both games a fair shot and make my choices from there.
  • Well it kinda is important to me. Its a personal thing. To me If I care enough about a game then I want to reach the level cap. If I never plan to reach it that means I never really planned to care to much about the game in general, and would be willing to put it aside for another game at any given time, Thus why I wanted…
  • It kinda worries me, I mean the grind I have never played an mmorpg where the most dedicated 20+ hour a day players were unable to reach max level within 3-4 months. I mean I assume this game puts Sword of the new worlds .0001% per mob to shame in that aspect. Its a good thing this will only be my casual mmorpg though :D…
  • I don't quite understand though why reaching the level cap is not something made normal...Its a really strange concept, There is probably more to it than simply making people spend more time grinding so they are more likely to use Cash shop, since you said the game is easy to farm in game money to get item mall stuff I…
  • So its safe to assume that this game is set up in such a way so that very few people ever reach the max level. I am just wondering, how is that a good choice in terms of game play? And does this mean they plan to never raise the level cap, because if its that high, and no one as reached it, that has to mean this game has…
  • I forgot to ask one of the most important questions Just how many levels are there in this game? In FFXI there are 75 levels and it takes about 4-8 months to max level 1 character your first time around. (4 months if you choose to go Bard, a Tank or a healer 8 months on average all DDs" Crafting in FFXI takes about a year…
  • So what you guy are saying is that I can get all item mall items with in game currency. I have a few more questions now that I have discovered this fact *Which is a hell of a good fact to know* If the game works that way then wouldnt a select hand full of players control the entire economy of a server? I mean there has got…
  • The thing I gotta say about that is Sword is about to put something like that in effect as well. Pesos I think they are calling it (My countries currency name..funny) So basically it will be like 1million Vis = 150-200 pesos, (2 dollars cash shop) and thats how they will be doing it. They will convert game money to cash…
  • Well at least I know. Thank you, I keep wanting to come back to PW but I realize that in the end its a rip off. Its a Great game but I wont fall for a scam that I already know is a scam... I will not play it but thank you for the info. Its hard for me to say no to the game because its a good game but I will not be scammed…
  • Im not touching this great game untill the prices are fixed, Take a lesson from Requiem's book. Very low prices but tons of the communtiy are willing to spend money on it regularly. You make more money if you set prices really low so that tons of people can buy your stuff. Until you fix this I will be looking forward to…
  • holy ****, back to RoM forums thanks for info.
  • Good to hear but its to late, I already feel like this game is everything I don't want from an mmo. I can't trust a game that allowed RMT at any point. Sorry but I had a linkshell for 5 years in FFXI against RMT(every day 2 hours a day just working to stop or out camp the RMT in order to keep stable economy in our server)…
  • Thats not really silly...thats just wrong.. the economy must be hell, With all the influx of gold going into the economy it must be impossible to be not only a 100% free 2 play player but also a Non gold buying player at high levels(It FORCES YOU to spend real money one way or the other to keep up economically or cash shop…
  • There are mmorpgs that are not a grind fest. Guild wars story driven mmorpg you never grind only 20 levels, but after level 20 the story keeps going long after your level is maxed. Guild wars is also free 2 play but you buy the box sets. And its got over 3million players. (can get max level in a day or 2) Lord of the rings…
  • sorry im a bit confused, are you guys saying that this game allows 3rd party gold selling/buying as long as its not bot farmed?
  • It IS a grind fest. I wont say But this or but that because bottom line it IS a total grind fest, more than half of the "Quests" you do are grinding monsters. the few that show variety is usually take item to NPC or collect flowers or wood for X npc, But bottom line its a very big grind fest. There are no Free 2 play…
  • I don't think the locked IP is going to be the biggest issue here. I think the prices will be. There are plenty of other games people here can to go that play very similar to this game. (Except no flying) Controls the same quest style the same, Graphics similar. I guess if you are really into the character customization…
  • Agreed I have more than 1 Video game for a hobby. So I honestly couldn't or wouldn't spend lots of cash on the cash shop unless it was really low price, Then Id prob blow 100 bucks in 1 go to hold me for a year or so.
  • Many reasons man. Lots of people do it to increase their online ego. Lots of people do it in order to level up faster so that they don't have to spend much time online, Time is money afterall. But to be honest most do it because other people do it. I bet if no one used the cash shop and it was something that was in a way…
  • Well if it does turn out to be this way Requiem will be getting a very large influx of players soon. The games play style is almost identical, the quests and leveling style, Only difference is Requiem is bloody and not a aesthetic world. But a bloody mess, Still good graphics...just not pretty.
