Is playing a Blade Master expensive? How long can I play the game before I start to notice myself in need of the item mall and unable to farm enough money to buy the items I need within a reasonable amount of time?

Does a larger population in this game translate to a stronger economy overall? Or to easier to buy items from players? In FFXI smaller population servers are actually easier to buy stuff from price wise.

Well the thing about FFXI is it actually provides you with a ton of stuff to do at mid and at high levels. I must add, it does seem like many more people play PW for some reason instead of RoM, an answer on the RoM forums takes sometimes 10 hours for a single reply on here I get a reply every 5-15 min.

Well I am currently downloading the game :D I am downloading RoM as well. I want to try both games to see which one is more Casual/PvE quest based, less grind and less cash shop based more Free 2 play friendly. Going to try to give both games a fair shot and make my choices from there.

It kinda worries me, I mean the grind I have never played an mmorpg where the most dedicated 20+ hour a day players were unable to reach max level within 3-4 months. Good to hear but its to late, I already feel like this game is everything I don't want from an mmo. I can't trust a game that allowed RMT at any point. Thats not really silly...thats just wrong.. the economy must be hell, With all the influx of gold going into the economy it must be impossible to be not only a 100% free 2 play player but also a Non gold buying player at high levels(It FORCES YOU to spend real money one way or the other to keep up economically or cash shop…

There are mmorpgs that are not a grind fest. Guild wars story driven mmorpg you never grind only 20 levels, but after level 20 the story keeps going long after your level is maxed. It IS a grind fest. I wont say But this or but that because bottom line it IS a total grind fest, more than half of the "Quests" you do are grinding monsters. the few that show variety is usually take item to NPC or collect flowers or wood for X npc, But bottom line its a very big grind fest. I don't think the locked IP is going to be the biggest issue here. I think the prices will be. There are plenty of other games people here can to go that play very similar to this game. Agreed I have more than 1 Video game for a hobby. So I honestly couldn't or wouldn't spend lots of cash on the cash shop unless it was really low price, Then Id prob blow 100 bucks in 1 go to hold me for a year or so.

Well if it does turn out to be this way Requiem will be getting a very large influx of players soon. The games play style is almost identical, the quests and leveling style, Only difference is Requiem is bloody and not a aesthetic world. But a bloody mess, Still good graphics...just not pretty.
