I usually pick and choose my skills based on the situation at hand, so I don't use macros that often. That being said, when I'm solo grinding, there are two that I use to give me one click simplicity. For physical attack mobs.. Rib Strike - normal attack. For Magic mobs.. Deep Sting - Rib Strike - normal attack.

From a barb in a FF. "The BM needs to go grab all those mobs, I can't bite them all individually to hold aggro from the cleric."

At this point I think it's safe to assume that the new interface isn't going anywhere. The crappy, hard to follow chat colors and tags, as well as the Fisher Price look of the fonts is going to stay. TY for implementing a change that helped out .1% of the half blind player base, and annoyed 80%. However, your sandbox, I…

It's purely a decision of play style. I'm on a PVE server, and have no real desire to go PK'ing with this char. (That's why I have chars on other servers b:laugh) There's not a mob I'm going up against solo that can 1 shot me. If it's a boss I'm soloing, deaden nerves can save me enough to either escape out if I misjudged…

Without gear, I have 5 vit.

Eh, I have very few issues with my HP as it is now. I was never intending to 'properly' shard and socket / refine my gear until 99. Flawless are easy to get via FF runs / tokens, so just tossing those in whenever I have the need. Current helm and cape aren't sharded at all ATM.
-
w/o gear, I have 2405 hp. I don't have the full TT90 set yet, which is more focused on Vit rather than Dex (like the TT80 gear is), but with that on I have 3400 unbuffed.

3 times I got kicked from Quingzi (sp?) squads trying to do the TB weapon token quest. Nobody understood that we actually would get a quest for that boss before lvl 29 then. Even went so far as to have a newly added member to the squad politely ask for lead, just so they could boot me.
-
Agreed. Although the server status on the old PWI site wasn't always accurate, it would be nice if the 'Server Status' area of the game client actually worked.

Go into your actions, and click on the 'Fly' icon. Drag it over to your shortcut bar.

Check to make sure your EFFECTS slider is set all the way to the right.

I used to be very helpful on either my wiz, or my sin... what really was the last straw for me was when a former guildie asked for healing help on killing the wicked pirate. Hopped on my wiz for the customary 2 kills, then was greeted with "Ok, there's the 2 I got from the chest. Only have 60 more now." *click exit game*…

Personally, I like the item linking. I even don't mind (note, I didn't say 'like', I said 'don' t mind') the tags for the different types of chat. However, it would be a LOT better if the name of the person chatting followed the color scheme of the chat type. (ie, green name for TEAM chat, blue for GUILD, yellow for WORLD,…

I've played both wiz and sin.. about the best you can hope for (besides cashing in a birthday wish for VERY good luck) is to have a kindhearted veno close by who just put bramble on you. Wiz will probably still die, but at least you have a chance of taking the sin down with you. After the sin kills you, go take out your…

All it does is add an extra spot to your pet bag. Unless you're a Venomancer, you don't really need it.
-
Hmm... you mentioned the swamp. Are you standing in water while fighting? You do half damage when in water.
-
4 sockets and hp shards do help, but your ability to survive has more to do with your playstyle, than how many times you swipe the visa. As has been said before, your goal is to kill before being killed. Use your stuns, learn how to maximize your damage output, avoid getting attacked by multiple mobs, etc.. Use shadow jump…

Esotericas and hypers both give you a multiplier on the base exp and spirit gain from a mob. Hypers will stack with esotericas though. Ex. Say you get 500 exp and 30 spirit from killing a mob. No event, no esoterica, and no hyper stone. During a 2x event, you will get 1000 exp and 60 spirit, because you're getting 2x the…

Never understood the general hate for Tideform... If I'm in the water, I turn on Bloodpaint, then switch forms, and auto-attack to my heart's content. The extra def more than makes up for the lack of stuns/interrupts, and the mob dies at the same rate, plus I have the extra swimming speed to get to the next one. Yeah, it…

lvl 1 (5 base Vit) b:laugh

Unless the sin is smart enough to get off maze steps before starting their attack.

*right click on name in squad list* Sure you're not going to help out and kill these mobs and bosses? No, they'sa a scawy mwonsters. *left click on 'kick from squad'.. Type '.|..' in common chat, and continue along*
-
Since you're being directed to Ecatomb to review the differences between sage and demon BP. As far as lvl 11 sage BP goes, be aware that the hp recovery is increased TO 3%, not BY 3% (which would be a total of 5%) as Ecatomb lists.

FWIW.. the WC drama that some of our less informed members instigated despite our telling them to cool it was dealt with internally by our "moron" leader, that you never actually spoke with. Bottom line. A member of our faction gave an open invitation. Your squad out damaged and got credit for the world boss. Ty for the…

Any pure build of DD can gank aggro if they don't understand how to operate in a squad. Don't blame the build, blame the damage junkies who's only explanation on why they pulled and died is that the tank is fail. (not saying it's never true mind you.)

For a Sin? Add in Leaf Dance. Boosts your crit rate by 2%

Early levels, I used amber (or w/e the evasion ones were). Not getting hit at all was better when facing mobs that only used physical attacks, and my dex wasn't high enough to make my evasion stat matter on it's own. After mid 30's, I tried out citrines vs garnets, and found I liked garnets better. Just seemed to have…

Hmm.. good thing my last char was a wiz. Makes me used to seeing the rabid "survivability" vs "damage output" build discussions. b:laugh Burn a ton of pots and powders until 39, then with bloodpaint, coupled with the damage boost of chill of the deep, (higher damage = higher hp recovery rate) deaths are very few and far…
