Shapeshifting intensity is not a bonus of your total defense. Just a percentage increase of def given by your armor. Bear in mind you get phys defense from Strength as well. So if you get 2900 def from your armor and say around 1000 from your strength, the 1000 will not be increased where the 2900 will be. Hope that helped…
