I don't know much about TW but if the Mystic is killed it will just res itself when it's safe, heal itself, recast res buff and jump back into battle. In TW the Mystic will most likely rely on the status effects it can give with a Fairy(temporary summon), Then do damage with it's attacks and a Beast(summon).

I've played the Mystic on the Chinese Server and its healing abilities are very good. If you have good squad it can probably take the Clerics place. (but it would need a lot of mp potions...)
