Its a choice between suck now, be better later (wizard) and be better now, and have harder time later (archer). Wizards are oneshot by archers early and midgame but after that they are arguably the best class.

Well the only good use of thunderball I see is to cast it on someone very low lvl by surprise and watch him run trying to put it off. It's like setting a chicken on fire... But leaving my sadistic nature aside it is useful on wood mobs if you have enough sp to spare.

Of course there are possible. The only difference between the PvP server and the PvE server is that on PvE you can switch off Pk protection when you go outside towns. And wait 10 hours or so to switch it back on (if you don't want to be pked). On PvP server once you're lvl 30 you can't have Pk protection.
