You can make charms at the apothecary with (alot) of the stones. You can also use them to recharge your flier (aerobeast, aerosword, wings)

And for the running tab, it now shows as 5972 friends, a loss of 1 since my last check this morning.

You can switch servers, but the characters you make are sever-dependant. i.e.: if you make character x on Lost City, that character cannot come to any other server.

I suspect (but cannot verify) that this was specifically a seasonal quest. I've noticed pwdatabase includes alot of temporary quests/npc's (like Jolly) as well as the permanent stuff.
