Go to the faction Supervisor down by the elder of Archosaur. It costs 100k I think. Make sure you have your name picked out first, it can only be 8 characters long I believe.

I just asked almost the same question, everyone told me to just add sapphire because it affects your healing skills too. I was told that adding a magic shard will increase the damage more so than adding a metal shard.

If you want to see all the skills a genie can learn, right click your genie, then click the Afinity button, then Skill Inquiry.

That's my question too, looking at the skills, it doesn't seem to matter what color of genie you have, just that that determines the starting attributes and skill?
