You should be able to filter them out of squad and faction chats you miss too much because of the horns it is annoying and personally I think they should be removed.

I agree it gets in the way when you are doing BH's and you need to read what is going on in the squad. There needs to be a way to decided what you want to see and what you don't when you are in squad or faction chat because you wind up missing things because of those horns.

or the person can turn out to be a complete jerk...
