I tried the same . Seems more like a bug. So once the exp is infused and the genie de-equipped .Your genie is at 0 at the current level. I think the best way to avoid this is to collect up all the exp ,then level your genie 1 whole or 2 whole levels at 1 time. So that way you infuse just enough exp into the genie for it to…

there is another bug with the Snake isle dungeon race allowing you to run it as many times as you can for 30 minutes if you keep trashing the Collect Qualifier quest. On the top left of your screen where you see your face with your class and current HP MP and EXP..Just click on the HP part.Click on the 2 letters HP and u see your current HP in the for m of a red line over your head, you can do the same for MP and EXP as well
