Opened arena would encourage new players to try out pvp, and probably most of them would get hooked. They would want better gear for having fun.. -hinthint-Cash shopping-hinthint- Everybody would be happy :D

It takes 3 days for safety lock to switch from 10 hours to 1 minute. relogging resets the safety lock. and thats pretty much it
