Its not always the case where the northern one spawns 20 minutes later, it spawns around an hour after it has been tamed or killed. Sometimes they will spawn at the same time and it'll be hard to catch them both.

I never tried catching the armored bear or the kowlin so I wouldn't know b:chuckle If you could confirm the spawn point, it would be very helpful.
