I like the idea of idea of a gear swap icon (similar to fashion sets in the wardrobe). Yes and no. As much as I love Sage Bloodpaint, at end game the difference is insignificant. However, that doesn't negate it's usefulness to lower leveled toons or even high level ones that don't have their gear maxed out. All you're really saying is that with these two sins, the demon sin has 150% of the DPS that the sage sin has. That comparison becomes irrelevant as soon as you put both sins in a squad and have the sage sin paint both of them. Now the demon sin has 150% DPS and 150% paint heals. Demon BP will never heal more than Sage.

My guess is that you need to have a current level of 101 to take the quest to progress from R8 to R9. If you were already R9, you don't need to be 101 to take more gear quests. (I did this last night on a level 102^100 character.)
