I think that would be a great solution -- no fees for the auction house and no cat shops, or low fees for the auction house and a specific shopping area for the cat shops. It would certainly make it both easier to find what you want to buy, and to get around the cities. I think it's something the developers should at least…

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds all the shops annoying and excessive.

I was really excited when I got the email about this event this morning... until I read that my friends would have to pay. I don't have friends with money, unfortunately. But then, I've already referred most of them anyway so it's kind of a moot point anyway.
