I can tank several mobs at once and not lose more than 10 hp, and I'm pure mag >.>. The summons are there for a reason--to be used. If you want to tank mobs, you can use Salvation for perma-immunes to damage (hence why any mystic can tank at least normal mobs easily). If you won't use your summons, you might as well roll…

I really like the new UI, but I hate the hotkey bars. They take up way too much space. b:angry I really wish there was a way to resize them, because I do like the design :\.
-
This is why I never really use Storm Mistress. It's just too much mana. I was using it for kiting mobs, but having to recharge her mana every 3-5 mobs was such a hassle, and slowed me down a lot. Using Salvation for the immunity buff and killing kiters myself seems to work much faster >.>.

Ecatomb is wrong. It says level 4 is only 1190 mana; it's actually 1700. Level 10 is going to end up costing much more than 2.6k mp.
-
The sage mp cost reductions are pure win<3. b:cute

1. The pets level with you. If you level once or twice, you just have to re-summon it and it'll be your level again. The Chihyu is the tank/damage pet, Storm Mistress is the magic damage pet, Salvation is the defense buff pet, and Craggrock is a powerful 20s damage pet, so they all have different uses. 2. Not sure how that…
-
The Chihyu isn't too weak for instance bosses, afaik, and it gets better with better gear. The MP cost is horrendous, however. A maxed pet heal will cost 275 MP, if I remember, which is much harder to keep up than a veno's pet heal. Even at lower levels of it, the pet heal will run you out of mana very quickly. I honestly…
-
And the mystic pet heal requires nearly 3x as much mp as the veno heal does, so you won't see any uncharmed mystics tanking things that require spamhealing with Chihyus. Maybe the mana cost with the level 75 pots wouldn't be so bad, but still, 275 mp per heal is a lot. From what I've seen on my low level mystic, the Chihyu…

You sure you're targeting a mob while trying to summon? You have to have a target, or it won't work.
-
Veno, definitely. Mystics run out of mana way too fast to be very efficient at farming. Venos hardly ever run out of mana. Killing faster doesn't really help if you have to take a break every 5-10 mobs. b:surrender
-
Tell me ONE caster class that needs 1 str per level (HA/LA venos don't count b:chuckle)? You only need 1 str every two levels in order to wear current equipment, and adding extra doesn't do anything but gimp the points you could have put into magic or vit. There's nothing "promising" about adding stats you don't even need.
-
Yeah, you're right, they do disappear, just takes a while. If you plant them fast enough you can have three sitting there, but only the last one planted attacks.
-
Storm Mistress is a good ranged tank for ranged mobs, but past that the first summon is much better and does more damage faster. I pretty much use Storm Mistress just for mobs that kite, but I imagine her aoe would be useful for grinding with the right mobs and gear. I got the third summon today, Salvation, and she has two…
-
You can summon multiple plant summons--not of the same type, but one of each. I had three plants and a pet summon attacking a boss yesterday.
-
The cooldown is 30 seconds O.o. Anyway, coupled with all the other mana-intensive skills (i.e. summons costing MP to summon, and massive amounts to fill their MP bar), I think even at higher levels Mystics will have a problem with mana.
-
I've been focusing on raising the summon levels, as well as Nature's Vengeance, Heal Summon, Break in the Clouds, Absorb Soul, and the buff that increases pdef (very useful imo). I've put a few levels in some of the temporary plant summons, but I'm waiting to really focus on those until I have more SP to waste. Punishing…

The OP was probably referring to the Cleric guide stickied at the top of this forum, for anyone wondering.
-
Ah, that sucks that it overrides it :\. I know Bramble helps a lot, too. Guess it would just be a good genie skill for when other venos are in party too b:surrender.
-
I saw a video of a Mystic, and apparently at least one of the low level pets, which is a land pet, can also fly. I'm assuming the same goes for their other permanent summons too. I don't think Mystics can replace venos, unless they have some serious debuffs that could compete with Amp/Purge. They at least have an attack…

Wouldn't Alpha Male help with the aggro issues, even slightly? I'm still low level with my HA veno, so I'm not sure if that skill's as useful as it sounds, but it seems like it would definitely help. It's nice to know things like this can be done though b:victory. I hope I can do the same someday ;D.
