In my opinion a mystic can do anything a cleric can. By the time my mystic hit lvl 80 I could solo heal frost runs (including one with a seeker puller with no BM/Barb/Cleric buffs). I've had the same troubles with mine. It's range isn't anything amazing and doesn't cover a large amount of area. If you want a longer range it's best to just level up your tempest.

Don't worry about it so much. Just lvl and put more stat points into your magic. Give yourself has much strengh as is needed and add into magic every chance you get. After you lvl up a bit more you should be just fine, no need to restat really. b:victory
